I have hashimoto’s and saw him years ago at age 18. I was so extremely hypothyroid at this point that my PCP was sending me to an oncologist for testing for lymphoma. After they said I didn’t have lymphoma, I was referred to this endo. I insisted the levothyroxine was not working. He refused to let me try armour or naturethroid. Instead he had a “heart to heart” with me. He told me that when women get older they tend to gain weight, have their hair fall out, sleep a lot, forget things, etc and that is was NORMAL... that life wasn’t always going to be easy like it was when I was in high school. Keep in mind I was 18!!!! I had just graduated high school months before. Save yourself the trouble and see anyone else for thyroid problems. Endocrinologists are terrible at treating hypothyroidism and do NOTHING for hashimoto’s which is autoimmune! Go to stop the thyroid madness.com or read the book to change your life and learn about proper care for thyroid problems!

This doctor put me on medications that I never even needed. Failed to explain the side affects, and the fact that I can never get off of these medications.

I like the Doctor but his staff is disorganized and not very friendly. I think they need more staff or a better office manager. I wonder if the Doctor is aware of how his staff treats people?

Dr Al Kassab is one of the best Drs I have out of 7. He is patient..listens to me and answers questions. When I am.admitted to the hospital he always is one of the first Drs to make rounds everyday.

He is very rude and has poor mannerisms. That is the reason I stopped going to him.

I was having problems a few years ago with my thyroid made an appt. to see him and wow he listened to me started me on medicine and it has helped he knows what he is doing. He's very nice and he listens to your symptoms. I have called for blood tests results or questions and the nurse calls back soon after. I will continue to go there. The time you have to wait in the waiting room isn't that bad it's worth it.

I left the 2/10/11 rating of poor. It was worth the wait. Dr. Al-Kassab is very knowledgeable and optimistic. I am very pleased with the visit
