an abusive, awful man. maybe he was once a fine doctor but i can tremolo you that is absolutely no longer the case. he will criticize the work of your previous doctors, make his own decisions without any testing to back them up, and guilt and threaten you every month for still being in pain. i switched to coastal neurology four months ago and an i so glad i did. i also truly believe several of his practice's policies are illegal and that he and his staff use or perhaps sell the medication they count and collect.

Very rude and jumps to a diagnosis (It's your back) with no evidence, within 2 minutes. I went to him hoping to get Physical Therapy for Neuropathy. First visit he kept asked "your left leg" 3 times. "No, its my right leg that is much worse", each time. The "aid" came in with advice to use round pillows under my lower back and knees (when sleeping), and when I sit. Gave me a pain prescription. Second visit he asked if I'd been doing stretches that I was shown. I said what stretches. He said the aid had done stretches to me & I had felt better when I left. "I don't recall receiving any stretches, and I felt fine when I came in!"
He said I have to have someone come with me next time, because you don't remember what we told you, etc. Only after I told him I take care of myself and my husband very well, (many Dr. and nurses complementing me). I don't know whose files or whatever, your looking at but that did not happen. He changed his attitude, joking that I was going to give him trouble. They gave me different way to position regular pillow, denying they ever told me to use the round ones. Gee wonder why I rushed to buy them, and suffered with a backache for 3 days and nights, trying them. Still insisted on MRI for my back. I don't trust him at all. He will no longer be my doctor as of Monday. From what I heard from other patients, they just come here to get their narcs.

Very rude and insulting. He calls patients liars when there is documented evidence and videos proving their is a problem. Completely disregards patients statements and the statements of witnesses to seen problems. If something doesn't work from a previous then we just need to "up the dose." Would not recommend this man to anyone. I don't have a choice due to workers comp.

The staff are extremely rude. The doctor is not too bad. Will not return because of his staff.

The amount of time waiting to see the doctor is completely unacceptable. Always at least 1 hour late…does not spend more than 3 minutes with you and if you have not had good results from your last appointment, he just ups your dosage. I actually had 2 doctors tell me NOT to see Dr, Ortolani.

I have no choice but to see this doctor. But all the negative reviews are right. He is pompous, rude, and only spends less than 5 minutes with me. I am suicidal knowing this lousy doctor is my only hope. He could care less. He sees over 40 patients in a day. Find someone else if you have any choice.

I wish I had seen this website before I wasted my time visiting Dr. Ortolani - all of the negative reviews are completely accurate (I can only guess that the people who gave positive reviews must have very low standards for medical care). It is appalling how many bad doctors are out there practicing - why isn't online reviewing of doctors more publicized and better known about??

Finally a doctor who took my back pain seriously and started immediately to address my very complicated issues. I feel so much better today since meeting this doctor. Would recommend him to anyone who is in pain.
