she is a very unprofessional and insensitive doctor or more appropriate dictator.she doesn't like natural approach and likes interventions.she was the only doctor in the practice i never wanted to see again.she was the on call doc when i went to hospital she came into my room and never said anything except hi from a distance very displeased on my natural labor.moments later called in from her home and told my husband she wants to break my water on refusing she threatened she would turn us out of hospital.we asked for a written statement and just sometime later my baby dropped down we were told she is at home i had a birth plan for a 100% natural birth.in house doctor came panicking in the room i was denied the squat bar they pushed me and my husband away from me they pinned me down forcibly and forcefully made me lye flat on the flat bed she stretched my perineum then did episiotomy inspite of me yelling all becoz of doc.Thai she only came to stitch me up.i m under deep stress.

Yes 3 years of my life. Please I'm letting everyone know, don't let this do called dr ever touch you. Dr Thai did a complete hysterectomy in 2009. She could have killed me. She lacerated my ureter. Urine was seeping into my abdomen for almost 5 days. So 9 surgeries and procedures later, I was finally fixed by two amazing Dr's. Don't loose 3 yrs of your life or maybe even death.

I find dr Thai sweet and helpful at my paps, but I could not agree more with the natural pregnant moms- the midwives she works with were great but she is eye-poppingly intervention-oriented. I am concerned about seeing the midwives again for fear I have complications and end up with her. I was blessed with two 100% normal, natural births but she pushed for an induction and tests every time I saw her. She suggested going to the hospital for pitocin because she noticed a few contractions on my non-stress test (no labor signs noticable to me.) In her defense, she did not seem to even comprehend that a highly managed birth was not preferable to me. I would see her for gyno care but never for pregnancy unless you prefer a c-section.

My pregnancy was complicated and Dr. Thai took her time to explain all the pros and cons of each test, and procedure. I had a safe and wonderful birth experience. I would highly recommend Dr. Thai for ob/gyn care.

Responding to the poster who said Dr Thai is wonderful - Sure, maybe if you're sick.A normal healthy pregnancy, however, is NOT a sickness. This induction-pushing, C-Section loving Dr. should be avoided at all cost.I am speaking both from my own experience and that of 3 other patients that I am friends with. Well, the others (as well as myself) are no longer patients of HERS, but continue to use the practice b/c of the midwives and Dr. Marback. If you go to see Dr. Thai and think she is nice and will work together with you so that you can have the labor and delivery in YOUR birthplan: MARK MY WORDS. She will pretend to go along with your wishes t/o the pregnancy and then find some "reason" to induce you, push as many interventions as it takes to get you in & out on a schedule that meets her needs, and could care LESS if you end up having a C-Section. Think I'm wrong? Try being assertive or insist on having anything your way iso hers. Guaranteed she will childlessly show her true colors

During my last pregnancy it seemed that the midwives kept leaving for various reasons so I ended up seeing everyone else in the practice at least once. It was true, I felt the most rushed with Dr. Thai. She ended up seeing me my last few visits, yet I chose a midwife to deliver. She was on call when I was discharged from the hospital and the only thing she said to me was, "So you went with a midwife, huh. Any questions?" And with that she left. Maybe she's good in other situations but she always seemed stressed.

My last prenatal appointment with my third child, she did an examination that hurt really bad...I mean really dug in there. She said, "Oh, the baby is so low! At -3 station!" -3 is not low, not even engaged!! I later on lost my plug. I then had to get an ultrasound because the other OB in the group was concerned about a big baby. They couldn't find any amniotic fluid. Dr Thai was on call, & over the phone she told me to come in for an induction. I told her I was attempting a VBA2C, & couldn't be induced. She said rather rudely, Well, come in for a c-section!" I told her I want to avoid one, what else can be done? (I didn't know back then other options are available) She said, "You have no choice!! The baby will DIE". I feel this Dr is rushed, & won't take the time to discuss options. Good drs (or midwives) would of made sure I was hydrated, & recheck later. Then maybe do an amnioinfusion. Supposing of course the ultrasound was correct, since they can be wrong.

Dr Thai was one of the obs I saw during my pregnancy , and although she was certainly more rushed than the midwives, she did go out of her way to attend to my concerns. I felt she was a little prone to find problems in a normal pregnancy and push induction, but most docs are. I delivered at the alternative birth center in Providence hospital and highly reccommend Dr. Thai's practice (esp midvwives) and the center to EVERYONE!

If you see this doctor for a period of time, she is less efficient and incompetent in her practice. Never being prompt, she also rushes you. Sometimes when I would ask her a question, she seems to be annoyed and later coldly asks, "anything else?" This doctor does not make you feel comfortable but raise your bloodpressure.
