I had an 8:00 appointment with Dr. Chastain. I arrived at 7:55 and was told that the doctor wasn't coming but that "Anna" would "be happy to see me." I was taken to an examination room. After 20 minutes, I stepped out and asked if "Anna" was available. At that point, they told me she was running late. I asked how long it would be and was told they didn't know, as she was in traffic. The staff was nice but the whole issue with not seeing the doctor with whom I had an appointment and then the replacement not being on scene was completely unprofessional. As I left I asked where Dr. Chastain was since I had an appointment with her. I was told she was having something done with "her eye." Clearly, the staff was aware she wasn't going to be in but no one called to see if I wanted to reschedule my appointment despite the fact that I had tried to reschedule earlier and was told it was not possible since I was seeing Dr. Chastain.

I agree with some of the prior post. My first time going to visit Dr. Chastain's office ended in an appointment with the PA. I had a skin condition in which there were no test done. I paid additional money for RX/over-the-counter products the PA told me to buy and they didn't work. My problem continues today and I'm now searching for another dermatologist to diagnose my skin problem.

Have had several things done there and have been a patient for several years. Get moles or skin cancers removed or biopsies done and then I occasionally get Botox. I've ALWAYS had a great experience regardless of what I was going for. I never wait long and always feel like I've had extraordinary care by dr chastain and her staff. I will continue to be her patient for years to come.

I have been seeing dr. Chastain for a couple of years and have found her to be extremely knowledgable and experienced in her field. She has always been extremely punctual and is often early with all of my appts. The staff has always been friendly and courteous.I highly recommend her as a dermatologist.

Went for laser hair removal treatments and a skin cyst removal. They were very helpful and willing to answer all my questions. Great staff, very nice. I would recommend to anyone. Dr. Chastain was honest and didn't load me up with RXs like most dermatologists. She didn't try to convince me to get extra treatments or visits or promise me something unrealistic like other MDs. I went because I was unhappy with my old MD. I'l never go back to my old MD after meeting Dr. Chastain.

I also PAID to see the doctor and only saw the PA the first time, who spent less than a minute with me. I didn't even know I had seen a doctor!! Second time, she spent less than a minute with me. Neither time was I able to ask questions. The staff was rude! I stood at the desk for over 5 mins, and had to actually call their number to get someone to come to the front desk. When she found out it was me, I did not get an apology at all and she was rude. The staff in the back was also rude and confrontational. I have never been treated this way by a doctor. I agree she has a lot to learn about running an office and hiring staff.

Been 3 times.First, very thorough; second less thorough; last visit only saw the PA. Awaiting biopsy results. Expected to see Dr. Chastain and with no prior communication saw PA.It was Not professional to presume I wanted to see PA instead of seeing Dr. Joy.May not go back. Run a four generation old business which is over 50 years old and could never treat my customers that way.She needs better business skills.

Has good procedures - new patients see PA for screening. More serious patients (skin cancer) see the doctor. You are referred for serious surgery (MOHS). They are helpful selecting prescriptions (generic) covered by insurance. It is best to ask cost of cosmetic surgery before you agree. Yes, she is busy and has lots of patients but she devotes adequate time to you when required. Office is conveniently located. The billing is sometimes hard to understand but calling the toll free number gets what ever details you require. Their billing has been accurate for about 5 years (and counting).
