Dr. O'Malley has poor bedside manner. Is not friendly at all and comes off as rude. The dental hygienists are extremely friendly though.

I cannot believe these people are still in business. They take advantage of insurance coverage and push unnecessary dental work to con patients (especially college students). If they plan to do a considerable amount of work on you such as a large number of fillings, get a second opinion before opening your wallet. I switched to a more credible dentist.

Horrible experience. Needed emergency treatment since away here at school and they were billing me double what the dentist at home was doing. The girl up front was rude and unhelpful. Reallllly NEVER GO HERE!!! Moreover the doctor is like, ' it should be ok', 'if seems it will', ' I think'. All these unsureaties!

I had a wonderful experience at this office. I felt they actually listened to me and what I wanted as a patient. The educated me as to what I needed and let me make the decision. I never felt presured and I would send my friends and family to them.

Same thing!! I have never had a cavity in my life. I went to them and had 7!!! Then after seeing them 5 times for all of the cavities, I needed a root canal, pin, crown costing me over $1200!! They also wanted to charge me for another consult visit. I was ther 5 times already!! How many more times do you need to see me and look in my mouth!! I am now seeing Dr. Dennis Fox and his estimates were much better. He advised I need a root canal, but I could wait on the crown till my insurance refreshed and there was no need for a pin. They also tried to charge me twice for a deductible. Be very aware if you go to see them. They really take advantage of you especially if you are like me and have never had more then a cleaning. You are willing to listen for your own good and end up being abused.

I had the same experience with being assessed as needing an expensive "care plan" and I didn't go that route. I did what smart people do--I got a second opinion. The first appointment and co-pay were for the assessment only--not even a cleaning. I did go back only to have the cleaning, and get one cavity filled.

Please beware of this dental office. They are a frightening group. They will give you an absolutely outlandishly expensive "treatment plan" for your "problems". They told me (in July 2007) my "plan" would cost over $1200 AFTER insurance for work I did not even need, according to the dentist I went to 3 months later. They appeared to be untruthful in order to scare me into paying all this money. I am glad I did not believe them as I only paid $26 (after insurance) at my new dentist for me, my spouse and daughter! BIG difference. I just spoke with a coworker tonight who did believe them and took a loan out for several thousand dollars to get work done at this place. This doctor and establishment should be very ashamed of themselves. They obviously are not, because they keep at it. Save your time and money and see someone else. There are other great dentists out there. We went to Dr. Barnes in Normal and he and his staff were excellent.
