I had a very large cyst on my left ovary that was discovered on a transvaginal ultrasound, it popped shortly thereafter (about 3 months) leaving me in excruciating pain, I had nausea, as well as a fever for almost an entire 24 hours. I was never offered a way to remove the cyst, and when I told her I thought it had popped I felt she completely brushed me off, and told me to see my PCP thinking it was diverticulitis rather than what's supposed to be her area of expertise!! I have a chronic medical condition (lupus) which makes me very sensitive to physical trauma it can often put me in the hospital, this was no exception. She should have kept an eye on it, before I wound up in the hospital. I always felt rushed out, and like my concerns didn't matter. Never again

I have never wrote an opinion regarding medical services, but this time I just have to. The doctor and the office are acting so unprofessionally that I want to warn current/new patients.

Doctor Robinson delivered my baby on August 2015 and I was happy to have her as my doctor till the moment I’ve started receiving bills from Quest Diagnostics.. Doctor Robinson requested a lot of medical tests, with a few for very significant amount that surprisingly were treated as “experimental” and not standard by my insurance company, Aetna. I am 100% healthy, my pregnancy was going without any issue, no history of diseases in family etc, so there was no reason for conducting those exams. In fact without any explanation or warning that the procedure may go beyond the standard. What’s even more ridiculous were the costs for those tests which exceeded my delivery fees. Some blood tests for almost $2K were requested two days before my due date. The assistant was laughing that for sure they won’t receive the results on time. It was a very expensive joke that we still cope with...

Currently I am trying to prepare an appeal, but without any help/supporting letter from Doctor Robinson stating the reasons of the requested tests. Hence it is almost impossible to reject these bills. I sent my first letter to the Doctors Office in November and till now, after multiple follow-ups, I didn’t receive any response. I also sought for assistance of HealthAdvocates but with no success so far. Lack of cooperation from the Doctor is suspicious and proofs no explanation for these procedures. I am wondering how many patients have to participate in this kind of game between doctors, labs and insurance companies. How can we know what is necessary without having medical degree and whether our trust is abused. What connections are between pieces of this puzzle and what kind of benefits doctors receive for requesting medically unnecessary treatments? Let’s start to talk about this taboo. This is unacceptable!!!

I moved to USA from Europe one year ago and to be honest the healthcare system here is shocking!! How can this be possible that in such a fair, democratic and civilized country we have to face problems like that. You never know how much you are going to pay for a medical test or service. For a legal, insured citizen this is an absurd.

I've been seeing Dr. Robinson for just over a year now and I think she's great. Some of her staff may seem a little standoffish but they don't reflect her character and attitude. I am currently pregnant and due any day now and I must say she is amazing. Very concerned, involved and overall a great physician. I would recommend to anyone.

It's even a year since my last appointment. She has a new staff. Co-pay is only in cash. Can't blame her if its the patients who are the ones bouncing checks. Dr. Robinson has always answered any question I may have had, remembers my history and has always treated me with respect.

Having read the other comments below. I am in disagreement with most of the individuals. The staff is normally courteous and accommodating. During my pregnancy the staff and Dr. Robinson were attentive to my every need. Like most Doctors who also are affiliated with other hospitals and the practice is not the only facility that they work with, time will and can be a factor because of emergencies which cannot be avoided.

I highly recommend Dr Robinson as she is very knowledgeable about her line of work and ensures that follows up is done whenever their are procedures or appointment.

I honestly don't understand the reason behind these reviews. I have been coming to Dr.Robinson since undergrad back in 2007. Dr. Robinson, as well as, her staff are all professional and welcoming. The offices are always clean.

She handles each patient with care. She doesn't write manual prescriptions, instead she sends it directly to your pharmacy electronically. The only downside is only accepts cash or money orders. To many cancelled checks I guess. I wish they accepted credit/debit. I personally hate carrying cash.

I have never had to wait long when I'm in the office. Except for the two times when she got called out to deliver a baby or the time she was stuck at the hospital delivering a baby. But hey I can't get mad over that. That's the business she is in.

Dr. robinson's staff is a joke. There GIRLS ( and I call them girls because they are petty and unprofessional) are RUDE. They cause problems and blame the patients. Their book keeping is a joke and they dont know which way is up. Dr. Robinson is very non-chalant sometimes a little too much and brushes aside concerns. she is more concerned with her bottom line than her patients. If you mail results and gave them over the phone why does someone need to come in again? To collect a copay so you can bill the insurance company?? I always felt liek she ordered too many uneccessary exams and tests so she could bill my isurance carrier. There were ALWAYS billings issues that I would have to go nuts trying to fix and they were always because of the coding from the lab. No I think thats the incompetant staff. STAY AWAY...YOU CAN DEFINITELY DO BETTER THAN HER AND HER STAFF OF MISFITS!

The only thing she has going for her is her excellent bedside manner and demeanor. The staff is useless and seems confused. Dr. Robinson seems flighty and incoherent at times. There is no follow up. It's nice to have a Saturday appt but at what cost? Stay away you can do better. I have switched to Dr Kirk Young in Manhattan prior to having a procedure done which was never scheduled with Robinson. I hated this - as soon as you give your name and fill the paperwork out (for the umpteenth time) you were asked for payment. Their new policy this year was you can't pay by check. Too many bounced checks. RED FLAG this shows the caliber of her clientele. Also, hated that I had to come in person for results of a test so she can get her $25 copay from me. Did I really need to have my vitals checked for a consult? This was to justify her receiving the copay. BE WARY AND KNOW YOUR INSURANCE POLICY. Too many red flags with her. Administrative night mare.
