My whole family has Dr. Welter as their primary. None of us have had any problems with him. He always remembers to ask each one of us how other family members are doing. The staff is not always friendly but I have not had a problem with any of the doctors or assistants there. I have always been able to receive the help that I needed.

It's true that the staff never return phone calls. I have called numerous times for biopsy results but haven't received a response. If your persistant and rude you might get lucky enough.

I have been with Dr. Welter for over 6 years, back when he was only in taunton, on bay street. He is still my primary, but I have not seen him for over 3 years. I always get sent to his money making urgent care, or another doctor. Sadley this is the worst practice I have ever seen in my life. Dr. Welter needs to address his poor service issues before somebody gets hurt.

Ditto to the responses above. I have been a patient of his for about 6 years. I haven't had a good experience with him. I am always brushed off to one of his associates or nurses. I once called with a possible blod clot in my leg - calling to try to determine the severity of it and whether or not I should go to the ER. They sent me to his voicemail (or maybe someone else's) and no one ever returned my call. My whole family goes to him and we've all had our own nightmare situations of unresponsiveness, unavailablity, prescriptions not called in, the list is endless....

I agree that it's impossible to actually see a doctor here, and the nurse practitioners are very rude. One in particular told me to go see a dermatologist. When I called for a referral and suggestion for who to see, I heard her say in the background "why can't she just look in the yellow pages". Very rude, in a hurry, and I will never go back here.

You can never see the Dr himself. I can only get into see the physician assistants lately. One of them sent me home with scabies medication when it was really hives that I had. I recently went there for a follow up after a car accident and they told me to go to physical therapy and I would feel better in about a week. They did not even exam me. I would not recommend this practice to anyone.
