An absolutely awful physician. Look how many malpractice suits this guy has against him. Avoid at all costs!

Dr Mirin is the worst Dr I have ever been to. He wants complete controll and gets angry if you don't like the meds. He also threathened to have me taken to court if I did not take the meds. I have never gone back and people need to keep away from him , his Clinic and the Mental Hospital he is in charge of. He did more harm to me and my famly than any other time during my treatment. He is from another country and manybe his trainging thier gave him the idea that he can treat anyone like this. He also does this to women more than men. I hope he is not allowed to remain inpractice and more people report him and the other terrible Dr's he is in Business with. GO TO ANOTHER CLINIC!

When I asked about naturopathic forms of dealing with insomnia and depression, he told me that he would put me in the state mental hospital (Las Vegas, NM) if I used alternative medicine. Although you can tell that he loves his children, he has a hard time with adults of other religions and beliefs about proper health care.

loves to give meds and changes them one after another, with no chance for drugs to clear your body before next drug.

Dr. Mirin is very caring and concerned about each person he sees. His experience includes numerous years as the Psychiatric Director of Sunrise Hospital. He also has a specialty in geriatric psychiatry and has done extensive work with diagnosis of various forms of dementia. Dr. Mirin is considerate of his patients' preferences in regards to medications he prescribes for them. However, he is firm when he believes that what he has selected for a particulal individual would be more effective. Some other patients find him "cold." Over time, they would be inclined to change their opinion, as the doctor is actually very kind and has a soft heart. He helps everyone he is able, time allowing. Unfortunately, Dr. Mirin is way too busy! However, any colleagues to whom I have been referred by him, have been of the highest caliber. I highly recommend NMPS for excellent mental health care. The doctors are based in Roswell. However, NMPS is opening a new office in Santa Fe any day now!
