Went to Accurso for bleeding. At 52 I also wanted a colonoscopy done.
Had procedure on a Tuesday. Wendsday morning had alot of bleeding, to the point it soaked through my clothes. Starting at 9 am I started calling the Drs office. No answer. The surgical center called as a follow up. I informed the nurse and she said she would call the office. Still no call back. Now it's 11 am I still bleeding. I call the surgical center again and speak the the managing nurse, again she tells me the office isn't answering. So I call twice more and leave messages explaining my problem. It's now 2 pm. At 4 I get a call, they have no clue why I called at all today. Again I explain my problem, I get out on hold, person comes back and tell me she is the manager and Accurso is off. So he had a patient that he personally worked on that has a problem and he will not even call me. She then says the Dr in the office said to" just go to the ER".
Their guy may be very talented, so your fine as long as you don't have a problem between Wendsday and Sunday because you could be bleeding the hell out and he just doesn't care.
So use him, just pray to what ever God you believe in that he is on point the day he works on you.

Dr. Accurso is the Best! I have been using him for colonoscopies and an endoscopy, and have been more than pleased with his practice. He is smart, thorough, caring, and knows his stuff. His practice is efficient, effective, and worth it.
