Some others comments struck me as funny having recognized similar behaviors of Dr Guzzetta, ie, his moodiness. I've noticed that. as well. That really doesn't bother me. The man is a genius and I rather expect such behavior. It puts him, in my opinion, on the level of a normal human being. If he was to "perfect", I would question that more. That being said, he is a master with addiction medicine, certainly the most knowledgeable I have met. I consider myself very fortunate. Not a day goes by that I am not thankful that I met him.

At first I thought he was great, then it became impossible to see him. All my appts. were scheduled with his nurse practitioner.

I like Dr. Guzzetta a lot. I have seen him for years and brought my son over to his practice and then later my wife... We all have had very good service and advice from Dr. Guzzetta. Some days the waiting room can become a little full/backed up. I would also like to see a little more consistency with the front office staff, because sometimes they don't seem to have the correct information regarding treatments or appointments. Overall, I find him very knowledgeable with the family practice very helpful dealing with our health issues.

I had been a patient of Dr. Richard Guzzetta''s for 4 years and I was fairly "used to" his moodiness, but in this last year (2006-2007), his moods and behavior became scarily erratic. One appointment he''d be nice and talkative, the next he''d be sullen, the next he''d explode at me for no apparent reason. I''d try and talk with him about it, but he''d become more and more unreasonable. It was like he was having some kind of personal problems and/or he was not working his AA A program and was a "dry ****/addict," and/or he''s "using" again. It was that bad. Then at the end of 2007, he came into my appt room in a seemingly good mood...We kind of were joking around....then he just "lost it" for no reason....I asked him to explain and the more he talked, the stranger and more erratic the whole thing became. Then, after me being a good patient for 4 years, he just plopped down, folded his arms and impulsively said, "I''m dismissing you as my pa

Sometimes a little arrogant. The staff is not always on the ball either. confident in his knowledge and knowing what he is doing.
