Dr. Shah seemed plesent when I came in. I was there to see him for abdominal pain. He told me many times during my appointment that I was fat. I told him that I had lost 55lbs, he told me that I still needed to lose more. He also commented on the look of my private parts. I was so upset. I have had 3 children and one miscarriage and no doctor or nurse has ever commented on the look of my female parts. I was told if you needed to have surgery in Swift Current, that he was an artist and took good care of his patients. But his bed side manner is the worst I have ever experienced in my life.

Dr. Shah was awesome with my hysterectomy that I had in the spring. He treated me with great respect and also treated the OR nurses and ward nurses, in my presence, with great respect. He was very professional but had a humorous bedside manner too. I highly recommend him. Thank you Dr. Shah!

I found out in october of 2011 that i had two ovarian cysts and when i was referred to dr shah he didnt make any attempt to see me instead he told my family doctor to give me a precription for visanne to shrink the cysts. some new experimental drug not even the pharmasists knew anything about which they thought was a new birth control pill. I did some googling on the drug and found out it was not something you take to shrink cysts, it stated that in some cases it may shrink cysts but also causes them plus hair loss and a ton of other side effects i was not willing to be guinea pig for. I strongly advise any woman to please not see him. he just doesnt care.

I have seen Dr. Shah a few times now for suspected Endimitriosis. The first time I saw him he seemed helpful and concerned. He advised me to return to birth control (after my husband had a vasectomy), and see him in 3 months to see if symptoms improved. At the 3 month appointment we were going to discuss alternative treatments (laproscopy, or hysterectomy). When I saw him again he wanted me to continue with the BC with no care as to what I wanted. I tried to explain to him that I did not want to continue BC, but he refused to listen and treated me like an idiot. I will be going back to my regular doctor to get referred to someone else.

This doctor has horrible bedside manners. The look on his face when he looked at my private parts was pure disgust. Because I was overweight his comments were not in best taste and he generalized that he had trouble finding a uterus in all fat women. He asked me to hold my fat up so he could examine me. He never took his jacket off. He did not wash his hands and did not ask for a nurse to come into the room when he examined me. He never left the room when I undressed and he told me to throw my clothes on the floor. When I asked for a cover, he sighed and said look in the drawer.

Has terrible bedside manners and etiquette. I don't feel uncomfortable too often, but this was different. He was rough and inconsiderate and did not seem to have any respect for my concerns. My vaginal exam made me feel violated.

When undergoing a vaginal prenatal exam, no sheet was given to cover with. Exams were performed without any discretion when my husband was not present. When my husband was able to attend, I was offered a sheet to cover with. Dr. Shah was very rude and spoke with animosity when called in to treat me in hospital. When a medical decision needed to be made we were asked what we would like to do. He lacks compassion and I honestly felt as though I was physically and emotionally damaged after appointments with him. I have reported this behavior to the quality care service in our health region. A review of this file is pending. I know of two other women who also feel they were mistreated and experienced examinations that were inapropriate.

Seen him a few times and refused to have him deliver my baby! Waited forever to get in the room. Once in the room he didn't recall having seen me before. (appointments were within 7 days of each other) Reviewed my file and ultrasound reports while I sat at his desk. Was rough while examaning me. Told me "Well I guess we will see if baby is healthy when it is born" Not impressed and never went back again! Baby arrived and was healthy but no thanks to him!

Terribly condescending with a huge chip on his shoulder! He has the compassion of a nazi soldier, and I dont understand why he became an OBGYN if he seems to have so little respect for women!
