I have been sick for almost 4 weeks. My primary care dr told me on 9/19/07 that i had bronchopneumonia - unfortunately he went on a 3.5 week vacation. I have been coughing and running an intermitten fever with severe fatigue since then. I have been bounced from Dr. to Dr. at Kaiser since 9/19/07 - the medicines prescribed for me on 10/12/07 were $92.00 this is in addition to the almost $200.00 I have paid out in visit co-pays and prescriptions since 9/19/07. The dr came into the room yesterday and asked why I hadnt yet filled prescriptions I told Dr. Lockmiller that I couldnt afford them until 10/15/07. He then looked at me like I was an insignificant worm with brown skin and printed out a body mass worksheet that told me I was overweight. on 10/16/07 I had a bad reaction to the medications I picked up on 10/15/07 - he told me he never heard of the side effects I was experiencing and that he wouldnt give me a note for work even though the advice nurse said to stay home.
