The staff was very disorganized and Dr. Miller was stand-offish and her office was very dirty. I felt better befor I paid $150.

People need to understand that insurance is a benefit to the patient from their employer. The responsibility of the charges incurred are the patients to pay unless there is something in writing stating otherwise. Pre-authorization is there for a reason, so that patients and doctors understand what will be covered and what will not. I happen to like this doctor and she took time to explain everything to me.

Patients should not have to care what happens between doctors and insurance companies. The comment below does little to rate the doctor in question. The person who had the disagreement about the balance-bill certainly had a good point. Apparently the doctor did not honor her managed care fee schedule.

Few patients understand that the insurance companies treat dr.s like dirt. If they only knew that this Dr. probably is fighting just to pay his/her over head. It would be nice to see the patients take some financial responsibility in their health care.

This doctor treated my family well for 4 months. During that time, she seemed satisfied with my managed care co-payment and never told us of any other charges. Then, out of the blue, she decides that we owe her a huge amount of money. The last few months she has been threatening us with a court case. My insurance company, other Chiropractors, and the CO Insurance Commissioners office all agree that she has no grounds to bill me for the balance between her contracted amounts and her customary charges. It is sad that a good health professional could act the way that she has to us.
