My family has been going to Dr. Koscielniak for over 25 years. Dr. Koscielniak has treated most of my orthopedic issues. He always greets me with a smile, and I can always get him to laugh. I have seen MANY Doctors in my life, and he is the #1 Doctor, and I know that I am getting the BEST care. I trust this man with my life. I don't know what I'm going to do when he decides to retire. :(

Dr. Koscielniak replaced both of my knees and I have never been better!!! He does have a very good sense of humor. Some people just don't understand him. If I had anyother problem I would certainly go back to him!!

This is the most uncommunicative doctor I ever met. He doesn't tell me anything unless I ask. He has no sense of humor and he never remembers my name. He may be a good surgeon, but he doesn't know how to talk to patients.

This Dr. has poor listening skills. When I asked why my knee was hurting more than before my meniscus repair surgery, he yelled at me as if it was my fault and that I had my maturation against me (I was 41 and very healthy). I responded that I know many much older than myself with successful meniscus repairs and have absolutely no complaints. I got yelled at again. I did not go back. I finally got a 2nd opinion and was told that I did not have enough physical therapy and as a result my knee lost bone density and was beginning to atrophy because it was not being used properly. This Dr. only prescribed 1 therapy session post op that lasted only 15 minutes where only 1 exercise was shown to do on my own at home. The new Drs. and therapist worked 2 1/2 hours with me (1 hr. consult and 1 1/2 therapy and evaluation). Thank goodness for these drs. because I am finally feeling a little relief. This Dr. was 11/2 hours late for the surgery when I was the very first scheduled for the day.

Dr. Koscielniak was amazing. He explained everything to me so i could understand my injury and how to properly heal. He treated me and my family with such great compassion. Not to mention, his sense of humor kept me in such great spirits.
