Dr. Steven Budoff, DO is an excellent Psychiatrist, He has helped me tremendously with my depression, anxiety, and medication management. He listens carefully and responds promptly. Dr. Budoff takes his job very seriously, which has allowed me to put his trust in him. I searched far and wide for a forensic psychiatrist to do an independent evaluation because I (and my family) had some legal issues with the local police and family services/DYFS. Most psychiatrists either did not return calls, want to help, or charge me an astronomical fee ($5000 plus). I was ultimately referred to Dr Steven Budoff. I left a phone message and he called me later the same evening. He spent 1/2 hour on the phone talking with me. We set up an appointment at his satellite office in Summit, NJ in approximately 2 weeks. He was personable and we developed a good rapport. He listened to my dilemma and came up with a plan to assist me. Dr. Budoff did a thorough evaluation in 2 visits. I was seeing another psychiatrist and a psychologist (PhD) for some time. Dr. Budoff contacted my two other doctors and discussed my care and treatment. He also reviewed the records from the other doctors. Eventually, he provided the necessary documentation that was required by the legal authorities. The authorities followed up with Dr. Budoff as well. In the end, my issues with the authorities was resolved successfully. No further problems with this for my family. In review, Dr. Budoff listened to me, developed a plan, and assisted me in resolving my dilemma. He always returned my telephone calls promptly. He also stated that the other medical professionals were competent and had a plan to assist me for the long term. Dr. Budoff helped me out my legal issues behind me without the added expenses of hiring an attorney. I highly recommend Dr. Budoff.

Dr. Budoff is a Godsend. He managed to help me navigate through a lifetime of depression and anxiety through his amazing LISTENING ability and his uncanny ability to prescribe the proper medications within a three month period for me. I am grateful and ALIVE because of him. He is naturally compassionate and caring. You are not a file number when you sit in his office, he KNOWS and REMEMBERS who you are. Thank God he chose this profession. I can't imagine the lives he has touched and saved.
