First of all I think people are making too big of a deal about the dog. It has actually been through being a therapy dog and holds this shown on his collar. If you don't want his nose on your purse or anything like that just tell the doctor. I have known him for many years and I'm sure he would not be offended unless you were telling him in a less than respectful way. So there to the first person leaving that rating about him. I think is an excellent doctor I think he is very humorous. So do you speak will take him wrong because his humor is sort of a sarcastic humor but as you get to know him you will see that it is humor always. He's a great doctor he has never steered me wrong. And his staff is wonderful and I never usually have to wait very long in the office. Anyway that's my two cents.

Dr. Faris Atchoo is disrespectful to patients. He brings his dog into the examination room. Even after complaining to McLarin Central Michigan Community Medical Group in Mount Pleasant, MI,the doctor persists in bring the dog into the examining room. During my last visit, his dog put his wet nose on my purse. Saying something the situation, creates a bad relationship between the doctor and the patient. I complained to the hospital administration, and they indicated the doctor has been spoken to about this horrible situation. Yet the doctor continues to engage in this insulting behavior, bringing his dog into the examining room. I stopped seeing this doctor. Now I am searching for a new primary care physician. This has been an inconvenient and terrible experience.
