Dr. Patricia Calvo, is not a pro-life doctor. At the first sign of something "wrong" or "Different with your baby, she will recommend you travel to another state and end the pregnancy, and will push you by saying she knows many families that had special needs baby and life would be too difficult. Had we followed her instructions, we would not have our 6 month healthy baby today.
Her office billing, is very disorganized. They charges us 450.00 upfront for labor costs, and refused to give a refund. This was not a copy, but charged directly to a credit card. Dr. Calvo never delivered our baby as she refused to continue to see my wife, claiming the baby was too small, and would not make it full term. After multiple request for a refund, they refuse to provide one claiming there are still insurance claims open, which is incorrect as United Health care send a letter to the Dr, confirming no other open claims and that we should be refunded the 450.00 charged upfront.
We transferred to another OBGYN at University of Miami, who repeated the calculations for estimated date of birth for the baby, and found Dr. Calvos office had miscalculated the date making It seem that she was too small for her age.
I do not recommend this doctor, she treats a baby life as if it was just some item you can throw it away if its not perfect.

Punctuality is important for me thats why I normally schedule my doctors appointment first thing in the morning, Patricia Calvo schedules 2 or 3 patients at the same time, the front desk lady, that was rude, said that she does that for 30 years and its normal. Her reviews are bad, unfortunately I saw it after I made the appointment.

Dr. Calvo seems to be a knowledgeable doctor and all business. However, If you are looking for a personable doctor then she may not be for you. In terms of my experience with her nurse Wendy with whom you will be doing all of your communications with, I cannot emphasize enough that she alone will lead you away from this office. Nurse Wendy is nothing less than rude and impatient and truly has no business dealing with the public, especially in an industry as important as health. Proceed with caution.

Dr. Calvo seem to be very knowledge and caring. She's quick and straight to the point, but also making sure your questions are all answered. The only problem is it is very hard to get an appointment.

Staff have an attitude, superficial in performance, give as little as possible, seem like the staff just wants to get rid of you, not helpful, usually are misinformed. The DR provides as little as possible. Poor overall care to include no plans, no discussion of issues etc. Unsatisfied with this office.

This Doctor sees all 3 of my daughters. She began seeing them as nervous teenagers, as they are all now in college or college graduates. 2 of my daughters are becoming nurses. They all 3 love her! She made them feel comfortable and answered any questions they may of had.

The worst doctor you can have, stay away from her. I am almost lost my baby because of her . please go to other doctor. She is the worst doctor ever. The person who said that she just react to attitudes must be her friend because it is not true at all. She is cold , don't care for what you say . If you complain about anything the answer is always the same" it is normal". Well went to see her and complained about a discharge that was with a strong odor she said is normal , didn't check or touch me at all , Next morning I was at hospital delivering a premature baby because I was with an infection. At the hospital she only show up when The nurse got nervous and told her to get there, because she could see the baby's head. Well, I did my part informing what happen to me. hope no one go through the same thing but is your own choice.

Highly recommend this doctor. She delivered both of my children and throughout the entire pregnancy she and her staff were such a delight. She is does get busy delivering babies so you might wait a while or your appt may get bumped. They give you the option to see one of her partners or reschedule. *News flash* this happens and babies won't wait till you're done with your annual pap! She's professional, informative..she does not linger if not necessary. She's to the point and no BS. She's by the book and will not bend the rules for you. So if you're looking for a shiesty doctor she's not for you. Personally I love that about her!
