Over the years I have been hard on my body. I was very lucky and proud to have had this man for my doctor. He over the years did all types of hand surgeries on me. And all different ones.
He fixed my middle left finger tendon, He removed a gangilis Cyst from my right wrist that he said was one of the largest he had ever seen. If he had not removed the cyst I was told it would have eaten my wrist. I still have a hole, bigger than a marble in my wrist from this cyst. Then
I fell 27 feet of a cheap latter at work and landed with a screwdriver in my left hand. It caused my left thumb to completely pop out from my wrist. After going through workers comp and just having my hand in a cast. I was allowed to return to Ira Dushoff for advise. He told the insurance company I need one type of surgery but they told him they wanted it done another.
So he went in and rebuilt my thumb and tried to reconnect it to my thumb. After 4 months and some therapy, I was cleared for light duty. All the time he told me that it may not work due to the injury. Well I picked up a small motorcycle battery about 3 lbs and you could hear the hand tearing loose. Damn that hurt. I went back and he by law had to inform the insurance company. He told them he wanted to do a surgery were he connect the thumb and wrist with plastic . and fuse the joint at one spot. Well the insurance company told him to install a steel pin into all the bones first. So we did that and it helped. He then told the insurance company to never doubt him again. He did the surgery and although it hurts when cold and if I hit it wrong my thumb works. I did loose about 50 percent of my grip in my left hand vs my right. and I had to have 3 surgeries. Doctor Dushoff did just as he told me he would. He never lied to me and he was the best wrist and hand surgeon I ever had or met. He also did women breast and I seen what he did for his wife. She was a perfect 10. She always looked great every time I went their. and he had pictures of his work on he walls. And Doctor Ira Dushoff was the Best of the Best
in my book. Over the years I sent allot of people to see him.
When I was 15 I was clearing land and fell on a Pepsi bottle that was broke into 2 pieces. The bottom part jagged like a mountain went into my left hand. It got me right at the middle finger at the first joint right through the knuckle joint. I went to a hospital in Orange Park Fl. and the Doctor sewed me up and told me to return in 10 days. After 10 days I returned and the doctor then told me he had forgotten to repair my middle finger tendons. ( My finger just stayed straight it would not bend unless I pulled it or taped it to another finger) basically I shot every one a Bird! So I was sent to an old German doctor (who's name I forget) in Jacksonville but he told me he was too old for this type surgery ( and i would be lucky to get half the use of that finger) and referred me to Doctor Ira Dushoff.
Doctor Dushoff did the surgery and after wards he told me I was one in a million. Most people have a few spare tendons in their wrist and ankles but not me, and so rather than use a synthetic tendon. The doctor remove a tendon from the top of my hand. and installed it.
And with luck it just did fit. After healing I regained all motion but in the very end. Dr. Dushoff offered to try and fix it but I told him it was fine.
He is and all will be a great doctor. He never lied and he always told the truth.
His office was half of one of the upper floors and the staff was great.
I was lucky to get him as a doctor...

This doctor is too old to be practicing and should have retired many years ago. When I made an appointment to see him about a possible cyst in the palm of my hand he told me I was in-operable. When I asked if it was because I was diabetic he said no, because of my weight since I was overweight and he wouldn't want to put me under general anesthesia. I was flabbergasted when upon leaving his office, he suggested I have Gastric-Bypass. Needless to say, I don't plan to make a follow-up appointment.
