I was immediately & immensely impressed with Dr Jeffrey Shapiro's stellar clinical expertise - both in regard to his surgical acumen as well as conscientious follow-up! Yet I have become even more appreciative of his professional EXCELLENCE in the time since the major rotator cuff repair he performed (Oct '15) to ensure FULL recovery & use of my right shoulder!! I've had the capacity to use my arm with abandon ever since, doing so both fluidly & flexibly -- with NARY a hint of Pain! Am Enormously GRATEFUL & will Forever APPLAUD Dr Jeffrey Shapiro for having ensured that I remain So Remarkably & Amazingly unfettered by such a horrendous injury as I sustained when I fell from a deck onto a brick walk - now years ago!! I'm So FORTUNATE to have been the BENEFICIARY of his Truly SUPERB & EXCEPTIONAL CARE!!!

My partial knee replacement surgery by Dr. Shapiro required revision surgery due to an improperly positioned implant. Within six months of the surgery my knee was swelling and very painful. After two follow up visits, Dr. Shapiro ordered both x-rays and an MRI and still failed to identify the cause. I located a new surgeon and upon my very first meeting my new surgeon took a simple x-ray and immediately observed incorrect positioning of the implant. My new surgeon also stated that I was never a good candidate for partial knee replacement surgery as other parts of my knee were on the verge of wearing out as well.

Dr Shapiro was very well informed from reading my chart prior to meeting with him. He laid out my options and what was the best solution and why for me. Surgery was perfect and the rehab staff was awesome. After replacing my ACL and rehab I can run 8 mile workouts, still play ice hockey and have no pain or weakness.

Dr. Shapiro is the rudest, most arrogant non-caring physician I have ever come across. He is only interested in the money and has no concern for his patients. He doesn't listen to what is going on and has no interest in hearing your issues. You are merely another number and dollar sign! The staff is just as nasty and have no compassion, I'm sure due to the over load of patients they have to deal with since it's all about quantity over quality! I say DO NOT CHOOSE DR. SHAPIRO IF YOU WOULD LIKE A PERSONABLE DR WITH ANY SORT OF COMPASSION OR CONCERN FOR YOUR WELL BEING!

Dr. Shapiro's bedside manner is HORRIBLE. I believe something good always come out of something bad and because of the my encounter with Dr. Shapiro, I now have a WONDERFUL Orthopaedic Surgeon. My Surgeon's testing, examination, findings and resolution is totally different from Dr. Shapiro. Upon the results of his tests, my surgeon was able to explain exactly was is going on and everything makes sense. This is much better than Dr. Shapiro asking me "well what do you think it is, than that's what it is". I thank you Dr. Shapiro for being who you are because I am now anxiously awaiting my upcoming surgery with MY Orthopaedic Surgeon. P.S. Not only is he WONDERFUL, his staff is too.

Dr. Shapiro treated me with utter disrespect. He belittled me, made me feel as if I was such a baby because I was in so much pain. Dr. Shapiro is exceptionally arrogant, conceited and basically insensitive to his patients. I would NEVER recommend this so-called physician to anyone. There are a lot of caring, compassionate, knowledgeable. physicians out there...unfortunately, Dr. Shapiro is NOT one of them.

I went to this doctor following a bad auto accident-side impact. My car was totalled. I had a lot of shoulder pain. My shoulder was injured because I was holding the steering wheel when I was hit at 50 mph which I explained to him. I had an mri from a previous doctor that was negative. He didn't believe the mri could possibly be wrong even though I work with physical therapists at my job and had several months of unsuccessful therapy. Also, Dr. Shapiro spent so little time with me, it's no wonder he couldn't diagnose me. He had an arrogant and nasty know-it-all attitude. In addition, I had to wait 30 minutes after my scheduled appointment time to see him. I found a new doctor and he said that the mri had many suspicious areas. I had a new mri with contrast that confirmed I had a torn shoulder labrum. I had surgery and it confirmed a torn labrum, partial supraspinatus tendon tear and a bursa so inflammed that it had to be removed.

The office is just one great big factory with absolutely no concern for the patient. Dr. shapiro does not take responsibility for the results of surgery that is not successful. Its always your age, your weight, your bones, etc. I would not recommend this surgeon. Its all a numbers game..............how many patients he can do a day.

Very cold and insensitive. Does not listen to your symptoms and pre-judges you before knowing your history. Doesn't read your chart before he comes in to see you. Doesn't offer suggestions for your pain because he wants YOU to beg for surgery when you can't stand it anymore. Does not respect your time and takes phone calls while you wait to be examined. Doesn't care about making patients feel better and treats them like they are robots.
