Excellent doctors often require a long wait as they are called away on a regular basis to deliver babies. One day it will be your baby that causes the delay in the waiting room and you will be relieved to have Dr. Ortolano by your side. My kids have all graduated from college so I am seeing him for a GYN problem. I did have two of my three children in the Tri-cities and I'm glad when it was my turn my OBGYN at the time was right there with me. Before you get angry about your wait time, think about what he may be doing that is keeping you waiting.

I am a retired school teacher and my daughter is a mother of 2 young children. Both of my daughter's children have been delivered by Dr. Ortolano. Very satisfied with his wisdom and bedside manner, we have been patients of Dr. Ortolano for years. A doctor's training is very important to us, and Dr. Ortolano graduated from the University of Washington School of Medicine in Seattle, which is currently ranked in the top 10 medical training programs in the United States. Dr. Ortolano is very knowledgeable and professional and he has quite a following. To avoid spending a long time in the waiting area, I usually call an hour in advance of my appointment to see if he is out delivering a baby. If he is then I have the choice to come a little bit later or be seen by Ivy or Angela-- one is a nurse and one is a midwife. Simply put: phenomenally well-educated doctor in the Tri-Cities, and call first... Babies happen!

Terrible doctor. Rude, ignorant and a danger to his patients.

I have always had "high risk" pregnancies. I have a huge gap in between my 2 children and back in the day I don't think they had all the technology that they have now. Since I've been a patient of Dr. Ortolano I have not had a miscarriage. He delivered my 2nd child via C-Section (due to medical history) and he was great. I know that the waiting time to see Dr. O can be long but it is well worth it. Dr. O takes every issue seriously, he gets to the issue as fast as possible. He will recommend you to the proper physician, if out of his area of expertise. Dr. O has ALWAYS been professional and courteous with me and my partner. I currently expecting my 3rd child and am under Dr. O's care. The C-Section was done at my request. He was confident in me having a natural labor but I went against it due to familial disorder. I would recommend Dr. Ortolano to my family, so I would refer anyone else likewise.
