I always found Dr Fortin to be a shoot straight from the hip type. Honest and able to admit if he didn't know something but willing to research and find out. If he seemed to be having an off day he's never upset if I tell him that I don't understand or that I'm hurt by his words. He always apologises for his behaviour and regroups to explains why he said something or what he reasons are behind a choice he makes. Covid has made people angry and demanding and I can't imagine what he has to deal with on a day to day basis with patients. I just know that he is only human he has good days and bad days too. But if he makes a mistake then he admits and he fixes it. With the shortage of Dr's I for one am glad that he is still here as I know how hard he works and that he does the very best he can. He's never let me down as a Dr and I let him know I appreciate him whenever I am in.

Dr. Fortin is frequently late, often having to wait up to 30 minutes or more past the appointment time. He will argue that your symptoms don't exist because they don't align with what he thinks he knows about a condition. He has messed up prescriptions multiple times for myself and my mom, once prescribing 3x the actual dose I was supposed to take. He forgot to complete paperwork needed for a medical leave of absence even after being reminded 3 times. He also refuses to respond to the pharmacy to refill prescriptions and won't renew them over the phone because, in his words he "doesn't get paid unless you come in."

Just a completely awful doctor. Of the five GPs I've had he is the absolute worst. The only reason I'm stuck with him is because there is literally no doctor taking new patients south of Calgary.

Dr. Fortin use to be great. Now he won't swallow is pride and refer you out to specialists if he doesn't know the answer. He thinks he knows more than he actually does, no doctor no matter how good they are will know everything. But good news, he'll Google it while you're sitting there. If you have mental health concerns or issues, please go somewhere else. He lacks empathy for anyone dealing with any form of mental health. Super helpful if the services you are looking for are paid out of pocket ie skin care, botox or vaginal rejuvenation.

Dr. Fortin is extremely generous with his time. He approaches each of my own and my mother’s concerns with diligence and devotion to ensure that they are fully addressed. I am fortunate to have him as both my family doctor and mentor.

very sarcastic, he things no-one else has a brain but him....he is GP and does facials at the same time to promote his skin care line, wondering when he will start doing manicures and pedicures,lol... NO CLASS ... promotes his wife energy work for$ but does not believe in natural medicine .....Would never recommend him!

Dr. Fortin is a fantastic Doctor, he always takes my concerns seriously and is very thorough, he will refer me to someone who knows, if he doesn't. Dr. Fortin took on my parents even though he wasn't taking new patients, and because of him, my mom has a whole new quality of life, not to mention a few new bionic parts! My whole family loves him and will never see another Dr.!!

I needed help with pain management. After many recommendations and confusing suggestions I was blessed to meet with Dr. Fortin and staff who were/are more than willing to help me in the kindest way. I can't say enough positive things about my experience/help from Dr. Fortin. A humble gentleman.

Unlike every other doctor, William actually listens to my opinions on my medical issues and works with me to solve them. He and his staff are always very punctual, professional, and accommodating.

He was my doctor when I had my daughter Layla in 2010, and continued her care after she was born for the first year. Couldn't have asked for a better experience!! He is by far the best doctor we have ever had. I am sorry we moved away and we no longer have him caring for our little family.

Helpful,friendly, a good listener and not shy about advocating for his patients if specialist treatment is required. Maintains good notes for each visit hence the constant typing at times while speaking with patient. I'd reccommend him without hesitation.
