Very rude. He didn't want to hear my concerns or hear any kind of questions I had...I was to be servient and nod...there are actual endocrinologist out there with a 'human' side to them, I can't say he is one of them.

I have been seeing Dr. Dwarakanathan for about 6-8 months now. I'm very happy with his care. I began seeing him for a second opinion. I was very impressed by how knowledgeable he is. He also takes the time to thoroughly explain everything and then asks if you have any questions. He's also very personable. His staff are very nice also. I'm thankful that my pcp referred me to him.

I went to him for my enlarged thyroid because I was having symptoms that are common with an overactive thyroid, such as a racing heart and insomnia and it ended up that my symptoms were due to early menopause, which he failed to consider as a possibility because I was only 39 yrs. old. The ovaries are endocrine glands, so he should have been able to diagnose it. Instead when my thyroid bloodwork came back normal he said my racing heart was due to an anxiety disorder. Since I didn't have the more common symptoms of menopause like hot flashes -- and since I was 39, he never considered menopause. My gynecologist then ran tests checking my female hormones, such as estrogen, progesterone, and FSH and determined I was in early menopause and she put me on birth control, which helped immensely.

All staff are professional and friendly. Waiting area is comfortable and the wait is usually very short. Physician is very warm and friendly and completely explains everything. I really like that his nurse follows up with a phone call. I would highly recommend this physician to anyone.
