The most arrogant and condescending physician I have met in my life. I don’t care how much he knows if he doesn’t know how to treat others and be empathetic. He acted like I was wasting his time, and treats nurses with total disrespect. Horrendous bed side manners.

I have been seeing Dr. Aziz since my cardiologist retired in 1999. He has rescued me from the brink several times. He knows his stuff and makes accurate diagnosis and care. I wouldn't trade him for anything. He saved my life and my brother's also. First rate!

I have had Dr Aziz as a cardiologist for 14 years from the time I went to Forbes Hospital with chest pains in 2007. That visit led to a heart catheterization at Shadyside Presbyterian Hospital the next morning with a stent in the LAD artery. Two additional stents were inserted in other arteries in 2013. I greatly appreciate his care, his attentiveness and his candor. After each surgery he met with my wife after the procedure and explained what was done and answered any questions. I continue to see him every nine months with stress echo tests every other visit or so, Highly recommended.

I was referred to Dr. Aziz after having a stress test. I was 59 years old. Dr Aziz performed an echo stress test in his office and immediately scheduled me for a catherization. I was scared and concerned. Dr. Aziz came to my side and calmly told me of three possible scenarios. He took my hand and said, “something is wrong and I am going to fix it. “ As it turned out, I had a 99% blockage in my LAD artery—the widow maker. Dr. Aziz placed a stent in the artery and I felt instant relief. I watch the procedure and Dr. Aziz talked to me as soon as he finished. He then immediately visited with my family. Dr. Aziz saved my life! At my follow-up appointment, I asked some very tough questions and he explained everything and showed me the film of my procedure. He was wonderful. As I thanked the good doctor for saving my life, I called him Dr. God. He immediately dismissed that reference and wished me well. I would classify his manor as clinical with compassion, when it was important.

I have had several appointments with Dr. Aziz post op. Most of the patients in the waiting room are elderly and I have observed much kindness and patience by his staff with everyone. The staff receptionist, scheduler, and PA’s are professional and accommodating. They have called me when the doctor had a cancellation to come early for my appointment. My appointments have all started within ten minutes of their scheduled time. When a surgeon is late to the office, it may be that he is saving someone’s life.

He definitely needs to work on his bedside manner. He doesn't make you feel comfortable and doesn't take time to answer your questions with an actual answer. Very frustrating. Why bother making a list of questions to ask him after major surgery when you get empty answers which makes you feel he really doesn't know the answers. He seems to be "old school" and doesn't want to open up to new technology that could make things easier on the patient. Somewhat cocky attitude as well! He may be good at his targeted profession, but doesn't show compassion , that should be a necessity for all doctors especially one who cares for people with serious issues with the heart! I don't recommend him if you are looking for a doctor with compassion!
