Our daughter has been a patient for a year now, and has seen the Dr. Sirlin himself in the office all of once. All other appointments have been with nurse practitioners, and apparently they keep leaving - it's someone different almost every time. Once they quit for whatever reasons, the office reschedules according to what's easy for them, not what was medically recommended (by them) for the patient. Even though his medical staff said my daughter should be seen again in August, our appointment was just moved to October...and the office is still accepting new patients. Never mind that they can't properly care for those that they already have. Dr. Sirlin is very able and kind, and we are very grateful that he initially helped our daughter when she was in horrible pain. But the doctor is not the one who will be attending to your child after the first consultation. The practice packs in the patients, then can't offer the timely follow up care that your child may need.

Dr Sirlin is AWESOME. We've been trying for close to 2 yrs to get someone to take my daughter's issues seriously (since she's been born!) and he's the first one that has really taken the time to listen to us and try to help us. We finally have some hope that my daughter will get well. I recommend him to anyone!

Dr. Sirlin's nurse practitioner only met with our son. Never the doctor. His office gave files after two weeks of asking to the insurance company for our application for private insurace. The insurance company rejected our application based on our son's medical records from Dr. Sirlin. They said they were told he had vomiting. Dr. Sirlin denies this. We can't verify this because he charged us $12 to release our records to the insurance company. We did not receive our own copy. His office threatened us with collections when we disputed this charge on principal as gouging. We sent payment today to preserve our credit. We do not recommend him to anyone.

Dr. Sirlin is my favorite doctor!!! He immediately bonded with my daughter who was about two years old when we first started seeing him. He is sweet, caring, up on technology, and he spends a lot of time with his patients. I would absolutely recommend him to anyone!

I just took my son in to see Dr. S and he was everything that I could have asked for. He was kind, intelligent, caring, knowledgeable and had a great repoire with my very guarded son. He spent plenty of time to get the complete picture. And he didn't over subscribe standard treatments and procedures. I am really glad to have found a great DR.

Dr. Sirlin is amazing. His patients are his NUMBER 1 Priority! My daughter has been a patient of Dr. Sirlins for several years (and she DOES NOT FIT THE NORMAL PROFILE FOR ANY GASTRO TYPE OF ISSUE) but Dr. Sirlin is up to date on the latest medical technologies, and he is willing to learn new technologies as they come available, also he is willing to try ALMOST ANYTHING new...within reason..... that will help his LITTLE PATIENTS!!!!!! He is so open to suggestions, YET HE also has YEARS of experience, that Parents should feel comfortable with and ASSURED that they have a THE NUMBER 1 Pediatric Gastro Dr. in the DC area available!!!! I have NEVER written about a Dr. before, BUT Dr. Sirlin is SPECIAL! He actually CARES about the patients he sees!!!!!!! HE WANTS His Little Patients to FEEL better!!
