Just want to mention that Dr. Dorschug is a DO. The prior poster says it perfectly: Dr. Dorschug radiates warm and good will. I have been her patient for just about 3 years. She has 2 offices and very generous office hours. Appointments take as long as they need to take---never a rush to get to the next patient. She is very open to hearing my input and requests for specific labs concerning my thyroid and also my various other health issues. I chose her because compared to all those other doctors (and I have seen plenty and with no "fix", only more unanswered questions and tests) she has a good appreciation of hypothyroidism and she also recognizes adrenal fatigue--she even has the ZRT Lab 24 hour saliva kits in her office for purchase. While she does not subscribe to the Stop the Thyroid Madness protocol, she is open to the conversation. If you are looking for a new doctor because your current one keeps telling you that you are OK. That your labs are normal--- but you still feel tired and unwell, I can not recommend strongly enough to do two things: ask your doctor to check your thyroid and check out the Stop the Thyroid Madness webpage to learn about hypothyroidism/Hashimotos Disease. If your doctor says that your TSH is within normal range--that is not enough information to help---keep reading. Also, get a copy of your lab report. Everyone should always have a copy of their lab work.
