Twisted my hand and knew better to just wait it but was told I should see a "hand specialist".What a joke! After waiting an hour in waiting room only to meet with the Dr for five minutes my bill was $1402 (insurance did pay some but this does not justify the charges).I could have gone to CVS and buy a piece of plastic (his cost $600) and a sock (his cost $120)for $5. Was told by his office staff that if I was a cash patient my bill would have been lower. What a joke! Having insurance really sucks because only the patient get screwed. The insurance got paid the Doctor got paid and Im stuck with a ridiculous bill to pay,and my hand still hurts!!! Who does he think he is?

Scheduled appt. 2 weeks prior & provided medical ins. info. Waited 45 minutes and was told that they could not verify my ins. coverage and i'd have to come back another time.....HORRIBLE...AND, another patient came in for her appt. and was told the same thing...Does not validate. TOTAL WASTE OF TIME! Poorly infomred staff, rude, rude, rude!

Dr. Shayfer has been treating me and my family for all our injuries since the days he worked at Orthopaedic Consultants. He repaired my carpal tunnel, my husbands rotator cuff, and operated on my grandmother's hip and elbow after a bad fall. He is a master orthopaedist with a humble and honest demeanor. It isn't easy to get in to see him but once you are it is VERY worth it.

I waited for over an hour on both visits only to wait another half hour in a room. When he decided to finally show up it was less than minutes of him behind a computer. I left after 2 visits confused. He also ordered an MRI of the wrong part of my back. Way to go doc!

One of the kindest, most thorough doctors I have ever been to. I had a very complicated shoulder surgery, and he was just EXCELLENT!!! I had gone to Dr. Michael Hollander, who was HORRIBLE, and Dr. Shayfer restored my faith in Orthopedic Docs. I would highly recommend this wonderful doctor.

Not much of a talker but goodness, SO smart. you can just tell the second he walks in the room. He has fixed two problems on my deformed left hand. Hes is absolutely grand.
