The most rude inconsiderate Doctor I have ever been to. I have never seen a doctor that hands you a book when you need an answer to a question. She undoubtably made me feel stupid ever time I was in her office. When I found out I was pregnant I went to her office to be checked out. She came in the room and asked if my baby has a father and will have a happy life. What kind of precessional asks such a thing. That is non of your business. After this encounter I asked her to schedule me for an ultrasound and refused to do so. She stated that I would not seen anything new from my 6 week ultrasound. After her refusal I went outside of her office and paid to get an ultrasound done. I was able to actually see my baby moving hear the heartbeat and everything. So that being said she lied directly to my face. She is no doubt the most terrible doctor I have ever been seen by. Which is why I will no longer be going to her office.

Farbask (not sure how to spell it) is the most atrocious doctor I have ever encountered. To preface my review of her, know that I have been involved in the reproductive justice sphere for years and that is my intended career path. Upon saying that I wanted the Mirena IUD, she treated me very condescendingly. She asked, "how do you know about that?" as though it was the instructions for a bomb. She then proceeded to interrupt me halfway through stating my involvement with reproductive justice and just said, "The internet, you mean." I may not be a doctor, but she refused to even listen to my history. She failed to respect me as an adult capable of thought and experience.

But I was very firm. I wanted the MIrena. She then proceeded to give me inappropriate and false information. She said, "The Mirena has lots and lots of hormones. Your hair will fall out. You will get lots of acne. It will change your metabolism. You will be depressed." I don't know how this woman is a practicing doctor if it's clear she fished out a medical degree from the bottom of a latrine.

I told her she was giving me false information and when I stated FACTS from the official Mirena website, she said not to pay attention to it because that is wrong info. Because the FDA must be wrong?? First of all, the Mirena contains less hormones. Your hair WON'T fall out. If you get acne, only under 5% of people experience this. Also, hormonal birth control is used to TREAT acne, no? Weight gain is a rare side effect based on medical history, as is depression.

How do I know this? The FDA. AND The American Academy of Pediatrics encourages intrauterine devices as the first choice of birth control for adolescents. Teenagers. IUDs are amazing yet few people use them. Probably because of dim doctors such as Farbask who have an agenda and lack a medical degree.

To make it worse, she tried to dissuade me from the Mirena by telling me to choose the pill or the Depro-Provera shot. That's when I really couldn't believe it. The pill has more hormones than hormonal IUDs AND the Depo-shot has been associated with a lot of risks and being the hormonal birth control that is actually associated with major weight gain.

Ridiculous. STAY AWAY FROM FARBASKH.

She was dismissive of my questions and spoke down to me, as others have mentioned. She gave me misinformation about my test results, presenting my condition as worse than it was, simply because she would not check my file. She did not present all treatment options for my condition, as I later learned with a second opinion at a much better clinic. Additionally, her office staff, particularly her receptionist, is rude and unprofessional. Be wary of this doctor and this clinic.

I would not recommend this doctor to anyone. I was new to the area, and needed an OB right away. I didn't know anyone to ask for a recommendation, so I found Dr. Farbakhsh, because she closest to me by proximity. I remember feeling like she never really listened to me, and as my pregnancy went on, my appointments became more and more frustrating. Unfortunately, b/c of the way my health insurance works, I needed to stay with her through the whole treatment (pregnancy). She criticized me at every appointment, and tried to make me take antibiotics when I didn't need to (checked with other doctors). She runs her office like it's 1970, and talks down to her patients. Her general demeanor is very cold, and judgemental. Even in the hospital, once I went into labor, she barely came in, and even when my labor turned into a high risk situation, she didn't explain what was going on to my husband and I. Again, do not go this doctor.

DO NOT GO TO HER. She is rude, lectured my wife on unrelated matters, prescribed her a medication that was not working...then berated my wife for not wanting to take it. She repeatedly said, "I don't care how you feel" when my wife told her the medication (birth control) was causing issues. She failed to mention a positive test result, giving a clean bill of health. She gave my wife a cancer scare, then brushed off the issue and did no further tests...all without answering questions. She was so poor that I am currently looking at ways to file a formal complaint.

Normally I see Dr. Anderson, whom I love, but she was all booked for the week and I need a test done so I went to Dr. Farbakhsh. She was nice to me, but like the other reviews say, she doesn't answer questions and kind of blows everything off. I know I'm not a dorctor but I did a lot of research on what I was being tested for. Her answers didn't really match up with everything else. It seemed like she was minimizing the severity or importance of my problem. If you are going to Mothers & Daughters, definitely go with Dr. Kathy Anderson.

Dr. Farbakhsh had horrible bedside manner, requested unnecessary tests, eluded to the fact that I may have cervical cancer when tests proved otherwise and did not give me my test results in a timely manner. I highly recommend anyone go elsewhere.

i told dr. farbaksh repeatedly that i needed to be on birth control, and told her that hormonal birth control caused me to suffer severe depression and even suicidal tendencies. I told her time and time again that i NEEDED to be on birth control and did not want to get pregnant. it seemed to go over her head. she insisted that nuva ring was not absorbed in the bloodstream and was not like the pill/hormonal bc. this is entirely false. i experienced a lot of severe symptoms due to being on nuva ring. i tried to get her to call me about this oversight, no return call. i tried to speak with her nurse, and get someone to talk to me about it. no calls back. ever. before trying nuva ring i wanted an IUD and she refused me. over a year later i still have no viable form of birth control. i feel this is because my doctor has been completely unresponsive to my legitimate concerns. i do not feel like she listens to me at all, though i am very clearly communicative with her.
