I chose this doctor based on her experience and positive reviews. I was a bit disappointed. I have been to far worse doctors but when dealing with sensitive women's issues I didn't really want a doctor that I considered "ok". She definitely knew her stuff but her patient skills seemed a little lacking. During my first annual exam with her she was very rough (actually pinching my skin in the plastic speculum... ouch! And all she said was "oops" after I flinched. Atleast she did adjust it) and when calling the after hours line one time for a serious issue while pregnant she seemed very irritated. I could have caught her on some of her bad days but I didn't stick around to find out and switched to a different provider.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Dr. Carriker of Women's Care. She takes her time to listen to you and does NOT rush. She is very warm and friendly. I hadn't been on my "yearly" routine exam schedule like I should have been (oops... several years have gone by), so I was a little nervous on how she and the staff would react. They were soooo understanding and non-judgmental. They were just happy that I was there and starting to put my own care first again. (amazing how a busy family can make years fly by) Dr. Carriker was very conscientious of how I was doing during the exam and explained everything before any procedure was done. She thoroughly answered all of my questions and concerns and gave me advice on what other health care steps I may want to take. She made me feel very comfortable and she was very knowledgeable about my care. If you need a friendly doctor who can ease your nerves and concerns.... visit Dr. Carriker !

Dr. Carriker took me on 6 weeks before my son's due date, and I thought she was fabulous. I'm all for quick exams, she never seemed like she was trying to rush out the door, and she answered all my questions. I liked that she saw me in her office after my first visit for an intro discussion, and when I ended up having to have a c-section, I was thankful that she made the decision, b/c my son would probably not have made it through labor. We moved from Overland Park to the Liberty, MO area, and I have kept her as my doctor and will continue to do so, even with a 35 minute trip each way.

I absolutely hate to go in for my yearly visits, but I have to say that I feel very comfortable with Dr. Carriker. She is quick with her exam which I really appreciate. She also performed eddometrial ablation on me a few years ago and did a fantastic job..no complications whatsoever.

This MD does not look in my eyes when is talking, she never remember what she said in previous visits and it is not gentle. How to trust my baby in her hands?
