She listened to me and gave me the advice I needed. She explained the possible problems and the tests I needed. Answered all my questions. Very helpful.

My wife saw this Dr for the first time on 2/20/14. This will be the last. Dr Parnell treated my wife so poorly that she left the Dr' s office in tears. No one should be treated like that. This Dr is awful and I wouldn't want her to treat my worst enemy.

The first thing I noticed about Dr. Parnell upon meeting her was that she didn't shake my hand or hardly ever made eye contact with me. When I brought my mother along with me to an appointment she was barely acknowledged. Dr. Parnell gave me a diagnosis then told me several appointments later thats not what it was anymore because I "would have responded to treatment better" which was very frustrating to hear. I now see a neurologist in Madison who gave me a diganosis right away and shows much more compassion than Dr. Parnell. When I asked questions I felt as though I was being rushed, like she had another appointment to get to. I was also frustrated with the tardiness of every appointment I went to.

Very uncourteous staff, very unprofessional staff, lots of idle chatter among staff. Dr. is always late for appointments, will not look you in the eye, etc.. Richmond needs a new Neurology group!! Awful!!

Tardy office schedule, overbooked. Dr.is not readily open to talking outside of HER focus. If you want to sit and talk about approaches not of her suggestions,be prepared to not really be heard. She can be somewhat short based on her TIME or how far behind they are. Was not open to discussing concepts presented from internet search or a data I was using to try to manage my condition. Probably an overworked MD because community is deficient in certain sub-specialists.For infrequent need to use a neurologist I would chose to travel to a larger city and select an alternative provider. For frequent convenient local care or required hospital care she would receive my vote of confidence, but not for compassionate supportive care--somewhat distant. We all need to be understandable of each other; it's a difficult world, especially if you are sick or overworked by the system.
