I have been seeing Dr. Myers for 13 years and have never had a problem with him or his staff. I think he is a great doctor.

AWFUL!!!!!!! PLEASE SAVE YOURSELF and DO NOT see RHETT MEYERS!!!!! HE and the staff are HORRIBLE. Rarely looked up from his pad and when I went in to tell him I was having a really hard time with my anxiety and felt like I needed to go somewhere, he DISAGREED and said he didn't think I needed to go! Going away saved MY LIFE! When I returned, he wrote my meds wrong 2 times....when I called to complain, the staff was SO RUDE. When I finally stood up for myself and told them what I thought of their practice, I received a certified letter the next day telling me that I needed to find another practice!

Spent 5 minutes every visit with me. Very unconcerned and unfeeling. Dished out medication and over-medicated me according to my new psychiatrist in Greenville. If anyone is having problems with this man, go see someone else right away! He is no help at all!

I was referred by another doctor and after my first visit, walked out 3 very strong drug prescriptions and working in the medical field, knowing that wasn't the answer-tore up the prescriptions and NEVER went back...was warned by previous patients, but not one to believe everything said until experiencing myself!

when faced with a serious case of depression and anxiety last year i was referred to dr myers by a friend. it was the single worst healthcare experience of my life. now i'm no longer suffering from those conditions but it's in very little thanks to him. he was cold, condescending, and uncaring during my visits. he tried 3 different medications before finding one that somewhat worked, but not before he prescribed me 4 times the dose i needed, that episode was a nightmare. when i asked if i should see a therapist he flatly said no and that i didn't need one. i guess he did get the diagnosis right, but that was it. his office staff is unbearable to deal with, which should be a crime for people working with those suffering from mental/emotional illnesses.

I visited Dr. Myers with my husband for the first time recently. My husband had been referred to Dr. Myers when he asked to see someone to talk about a narcotic addiction and get help to get off the meds. I can confirm the other comments related to the poor ratings are true. Dr. Myers rarely looked up from the chart to make eye contact, he got out his prescription pad to write new scripts, kept the visit short and didn't get into any counseling conversations. When I asked Dr. Myers if he was the right person for my husband to see for help with narcotic addictions, he informed me he was primarily a doctor of "medicine management." He would refer us to another therapist within the practice. This is after my husband has seen him on numerous occasions. The visits were a waste of time.

It's been six years since I saw Rhett Myers. I suffered with bipolar disorder all my life until Rhett presribed the best drug regimen. Once on the right regimen I did great. He was a genius when it comes to presribing the right medication. That was his job. I did see a therapist for a while but didn't need her because the meds were doing there job. Rhett Myers is a great Doctor. I need him again to make some adjustments. A tune up so to speak.

I think if you really need help, you must see both a therapist and an MD. I don't need someone to chat with, I needed help w dosage on my anxiety meds. He figured out what was going on w me, and it wasn't anxiety. I took my new meds, felt like myself again! And I was so happy I almost cried. He cares. Give him a chance. If you need to chat, go see a therapist. I highly recommend this doctor. He knows what he is doing, but you aren't going to be in therapy. You are seeing a doctor. Good luck!
