Dr. Sandler is to the point. If you follow what he says, you will improve. Don't follow his program and he will tell you. If you're overweight, face it, you're overweight. He has helped me deal with a prolactinoma and has helped me to lose 20+ lbs. He is a great doctor. Just follow his advice. Yes, his wait is about an hour however he spends tons of time with the patient.

I have seen several doctors in the past year and 1/2. In the end, I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer. I was so grateful that Dr. Sandler took all of the necessary time to explain treatment options, pros and cons, what I might experience, etc. His intelligence was readily apparent. He educated me and entertained all of my questions. He even has a very smart sense of humor. I am confident that he will not mince words with me. Dealing with a potentially life threatening disease, I want someone who is smart, honest, well studied and not in a hurry. I will wait as long as I need to, to see someone who insists on giving good care - even if that means tough love, like telling me what I might not want to hear. I walked away grateful that he is my doctor. I honestly felt that he enjoys helping people get well and feel better.

This physician is extremely rude. His very first comment to me (without even introducing himself or saying "hi") was "are you aware that you are morbidly obese?" The comments previous to mine about waiting are so very true. My first visit, I waited 3 hours. I am a professional and would never do this to someone. I have my staff let someone know when I am late and offer them the choice to re-schedule. He seems to be knowledgeable in his field. But, I am not sure seeing him is worth the unconscionable wait time or rude comments.

This doctor is the rudest one person I have ever seen. I have graves disease or so he tells me. When he asked how I was feeling I responded that I had been really tired lately. His response was "Its all that flubber you are carring around". He threatened me by saying that "if you haven't lost weight when I see you the next time, then I am putting you on a diet!!" I don't like being heavy, but being belittled by my doctor only makes it worse. I have an appointment to see him in a few days and you would think that it was an appointment to have all my teeth pulled with no novican thats how bad I dread seeing him. I am considering cancelling my appointment and finding another doctor. A person should not dread or be scared to see their doctor because of what he will say to them.

If you are reading this thinking about going to see Dr. Sander then listen to the reports posted here. He is the worst!!!! I worked in the medical field for 10 years and never in my life have I ever had the displeasure of knowing a doctor like Dr. Sandler. He is rude, does not care the patients issues, and has poor medical skills. His front desk staff is lazy, rude, and unprofessional. I warn you now stay away from this doctor. 10 years working for Internal Medicine doctors and if I could I would have this man disbarred. There are better endocrinologist in NWA look them up and go there.

Where do I start? I have been to see Dr Sandler 3 times and am so unhappy with him have since changed endo drs. I have always waited over 3 hours for him to spend 10 minutes with me, part of that on his cell phone discussing dinner plans, and the first visit I needed a complete head to toe nude physical which was weird! I have Graves Disease/hyperthyroidism and he basically told me good luck with gaining weight after decreasing my anti thyroid meds?!?! His front office staff is rude and cold. He has no bedside manner. He has to spend all your time with him trying to read who you are in your chart. Ridiculous. Very unorganized. The wait is the worst part. I was sent for so many tests for him to want a second opinion cuz he can't read a report that I had my PCP read for me. Geez. Gimme a break. I have moved on and learned more out of books and the internet than I ever did with a visit with him. Cya later doc!
