Having seen Dr. Saigal multiple times, I’ve come to a fairly easy conclusion that he is unprofessional, has poor communication skills and is always in a hurry. As a woman, I don’t feel comfortable being around him.

I do not recommend Dr. Saigal. I’ve been a patient of his since 2006. I had one minor urological issue (non bacterial prostatitis) and it’s come and gone over the years. I was never fond of his bedside manner. He’s condescending and dismissive. However I don’t really need to like my doctor as long as I’m getting proper treatment. There’s not a whole lot you can do for that condition. So he really didn’t have much room to make a mistake. In recent years, I’ve had a more serious urological issue. I have a blockage issue that requires a turp. He misdiagnosed me. I sought out a second opinion at Cedars. The Cedars doctor was correct in his diagnosis and proper testing confirmed his diagnosis. Please do yourself a favor and seek other care for urology. He is unprofessional and a terrible communicator. If you want to stay in the ucla network there are plenty of good urologists. I highly recommend staying away from Chris Saigal’s care.

I waited 45 minutes in the exam room; he came in 40 minutes late, no apologies, so sorry-I'm-running-late-this-morning, no how can I help you? He stood back from me, against the wall--pulling away and reciting memorized facts that should apply to people like me but didn't. He has no patient skills; h never talked with me only at me. He know I had his appointment at 9 and then a cardiology appointment at 10. He treated me with no respect. All I can say is that he presented himself as an arrogant s.o.b. Ask for someone else.

Dr. Saigal diagnosed my prostate cancer in March 2020 and took the time to fully explain the surgical and radiation options. I ultimately decided on radical prostatectomy surgery, carried out by Dr. Saigal. The results have been excellent, with no complications or incontinence issues. After 4-months my PSA level is still zero.

Went in for ED and vasectomy. He basically knew nothing about ED, even though it is listed as one of his areas of interest on his online profile. He was very curt in his responses, and seemed like he didn't care at all. Maybe he has a lot or patients with more life threatening conditions. He offered zero information about the ED, told me to get some forms to fill out on the way out, and took some blood for testosterone check. For this, they billed my insurance over $1200, and I'm supposed to pay $400. I never received the results of the tests. So I got nothing.

I have been seeing Dr. Saigal quarterly for prostate and other related items. He stays focused when I see him, and we discuss how to cure my condition and explains all the options. Even though it’s my decision, I take an aggressive posture on taking care of the problem, and in addition, learn from the web about my condition.
