Biased attitude towards WC cases when it was a VA (MILITARY INJURY) case just because showed up in a technician uniform, stated no surgery needed for chronic condition - guess what shith ead? Two discectomies and one fusion later YOU WERE WRONG. PA was great, but doctor came in blaming PATIENT for a MRI CD writing error - does he look like a mother trucking med record clerk? AVOID. He seems to be one that deletes his bad google reviews, even his colleagues thinks he's a joke.

He saved my husband's life in 2002, and we can't thank him enough and will be forever grateful to this fine doctor! Yes, he has a different personality, but that doesn't matter with his knowledge and expertise!
My husband had an abscess literally the size of a baseball in his head after an accident. He was near death and after an MRI was rushed to the hospital at Evansville nearly 80 miles away. Dr Kern stayed at the hospital waiting on us,.and performed emergency brain surgery that night on my husband and saved his life. We would give him the highest recommendation and wish he was still in our area.

This POS worked on my dad when he broke his neck in 2 places after a car wreck. He called my dad a fat whale to a nurse right in front of my dad, then later he said that dads neck was not healing and he was going to have to do surgery, so we convinced dad to get a second opinion in Louisville and they said he was doing great and was out of his halo in 2 months. He was an arrogant POS!

Dr. Kern was extremely arrogant and insulting. Operated on my wife 3 times and she was worse after surgery than she was prior to surgery. While she was in recovery he came to me in the waiting room and said "the operation was a success, she needed more done but I did what they (workman's comp) paid me to do. I wanted to snack him but he isn't worth going to jail for. Avoid him at all costs.

This doctor is arrogant and rude. I would not trust him with my health care. He does not listen and yells at his patients. You can do better

dr. kern did surgery on my neck I needed two discs repaired but the doctor was only able to repair one due to the structure of my neck. If the doctor proceeded on the disc that was not reachable I would have been at a high risk of complications with my tongue and throat. I am grateful to the doctor for his decision not to pursue the disc that posed a risk to me and putting my safety first. The doctor is a mans man straight and to the point and a good doctor.

We were referred to Dr Kern by Dr Metcalf. Dr Kern asked why my husband was there and my husband answered "because Dr Metcalf referred me", my husband was about to dive more into detail when Dr Kern interrupted and yelled at my husband, he said "that is not what I asked you". My husband tried to answer his question to the best of his ability 3 times, each time, Dr Kern did not like his response and was rude back and or yelled at him. He was so unprofessional and down right rude to us. Not only did he yell at my husband, but he did so in front of me and our child. On top of everything, we had to pay a $30 Copay for a Dr to yell at us and do nothing for us. What an awful experience.

He made me feel like I was dirt under his feet. I am overweight,but in severe pain from slipped disc. He told me he wouldnt touch me. What like he was gonna get sick from me or something. He is a loser and I only hope that one day the tables turn on him. His office staff is great, I actually pity them for working for him. He is a major jerk and way too proud of himself. I will never go back to him EVER.
