My opinion of Dr.Turner is he has changed in the past couple of years. I saw this doctor for a long time. In the past, you could not find a more kinder, respectful professional physician. I thought very highly of him and had him on a pedestal.I trusted him. I thought he had strong values like I do and trusted his judgement and appreciated being treated respectful and kind as his patient. The last times I visited this doctor I felt he has changed, not for the better. I felt belittled, not treated with respect as his patient and kinda made fun of by him. I think his judgement in my medical problem was not accurate either. It is a shame because I really wish he was the doctor he use to be and that I thought he was.

I truly believe this dr not only saved my uterus, but also my life. I was 18 when he delivered my daughter. And though some years ago I will never forget the experience. My daughter as she was coming out jerked herself sideways. They called it a uterine rupture later on. I immediately began to hemorrhage. Instead of overreacting and scaring me, he calmly placed a hand on my leg and asked me to lie back down and he would finish up delivering my afterbirth. He looked at the nurse next to him and said, hmm looks like we need...and listed off a number of shots and asked for 2 units of my blood type. Not once did I think something was wrong. He was able to stop the bleeding and I ended up with extensive sutures. I wasn't even aware of how grave the situation until my 6 weeks check up where he let me know my age and how in shape I was saved me from an emergency hysterectomy. My next pregnancy was riddled with complications and he took each one in stride. I will never see another OB.

I saw Dr. Turner after recommendations from several of my clients. 8 weeks into my pregnancy I was hospitalized and another Dr. from the practice came and saw me in the ER (Not Dr. Turner). Dr. Turner is a nice enough man and I respect and trust his knowledge as a Dr. The only thing I could say is his bedside manner is not the greatest. He explains things to you in his language and doesnt make sure that you understand whats going on.I also end up waiting a loooonnng time after the nurse has already seen me for the Dr. to come in. I also feel that he looked down me because I was not married, even though my daughters father and I are together and he attended most appts. If you are a person that needs questions answered good luck! You'll have to leave a message with the nurse and she'll call you back in about 2 days. (Even when I left a message that I was feeling extreme pain in my kidneys.) Not the worse clinic, but I think I'm going to try another DR.

Didn't listen very well. When I asked questions he was combative and gave me circular explanations for everything. He didn't seem to care that I was concerned for my health. I also had a female doctor at the same place and she was just as bad. When they did my pap smear they just jammed the metal apparatus on up there without even using lubrication. My experiences here have been negative and painful.

As for the group he is with didn't care for it. The Nurses were nice. The waiting is really long. the billing Dept. messed up the billing of insurance which seemed kinda odd. As for Dr. Turner himself a great man. Caught a very risky condition that my baby had. Was in the room most of the time I was in labor and made me very relaxed. great bedside manner. Wished I had all my kids with him. Just request to use only him and you will have no problems. Let me have as many people I wanted in the room unlike the previous DR at the same group.

Don't be fooled by the name Associated Physicians for Women, no female OBGYN's work there! The waiting room should have a sign that says, "bring a tent and a sleeping bag, your going to be here foreeeeeever!" The Nurse will see you, you will have to tell your story over and over each time you go to a different person. Don't expect to build a relationship with your doctor here. All doc's at Associated Physicians for Women have the same child birth plan with Kadlec. You will have no say in how your child is delivered. They will most likely induce you, which is horrible, you will be in labor a very long time, days. The doctors will come and go, not the same over the days you are in labor. The doctor that delivers will probably not be your doctor. Don't let them give you Stadol, it will make you sick and in labor. If you don't say no way ahead of time in writing and ask for pain med that is what you will get. You will feel like you are on LSD, plus the pain will intensify.
