When I read the other comments from Dr .Weikert's patients it was like taking the words right out of my mouth. She was routinely rude with her staff right in front of me as well as having a very abrupt (even mean) bedside manner. The surgery she performed on my foot was completely unsuccessful. I did end up with a second opinion as well as a surgical revision of what she did. Please have a second and/or third opinion before you let her perform any type of procedure on you!

While Dr. Weikert appears knowledgable, she certainly does not treat her staff or patients with respect. At one appointment she reprimanded a staff member in front of me while in the exam room. This was totally unprofessional and done without regard to respect for her staff or me.

I also feel I was called back for needless appointments. In fact with one appointment I did not even see the doctor, only a technician who returned plaster castings to me. That was the extent of the appointment, yet I was charged a co-pay and a claim sent to my insurance.

I would not feel comfortable recommending this doctor to anyone.

Dr. Weikert has no personality and is straight out rude. The office is very disorganized and there is no compassion. I asked for my records and that never happened. I would highly recommend not to waste your time there.

I will be in pain for the rest of my life because of the surgery by Dr. Weikert. My foot is now deformed and I can hardly walk. It has been almost 3 years and I now know it will never heal. This has been one of the worst experiences of my life because of her malpractice, her staff indifference and her careless and unconcerned follow-up. This doctor should not be in business!

I had bunion surgery and an implant for one toe. Once the swelling went down, I discovered an arch was built into my foot. I was told healing would be about 3 months; it took closer to 6. None of this alarmed me until the new orthotics I had been casted for 2 months BEFORE surgery were suddenly not going to be covered by insurance. The dr. and nurses had promised that they would be covered, and I only needed to sign the form to pay for the remainder of what insurance didn't pay, maybe $60. W/o insurance, that total became $400. Currently, I'm still working with the insurance company. After many phone calls and a meeting, it's very clear that the billing dept. leaves much to be desired. It's scares me to think that I trusted them to handle a $40,000+ surgery. Since my foot shape totally changed, I asked about the fit of the orthotic. I was told that her office wouldn't "eat the cost" of be recasted, and that "something was better than nothing". That's unacceptable and I won't go back.

I too feel like I must describe my experience if it prevents someone from making the huge decision of having surgery done by Dr. Weikert without a *second opinion*. I had my surgery almost five years ago, and the whole experience still upsets me. Basically, it was the same thing others have said on here: she pressured me into surgery as if that were my only option; she completely lied about my recovery time (she said it would be at most 14 days – I couldn’t walk for over a month); she also completely lied about where the incision would be made. When I asked her why it wasn’t where she showed me (a place pretty discrete) she said “Oh, no. We can’t make incisions there; there’s a nerve right there”). She then revealed to me after surgery that she had removed a bone from my toes. Once the bandages came off, I just sat there crying in the patient room. She seemed to have stitched my toes too tightly, so they almost pointed upwards. My one toe still doesn’t touch the ground when I stand.

I personally had a horrible experience with Dr. Weikert. She recently persuaded me to have a bilateral ankle surgery. She told me the results would be great and said i wouldn't feel pain after i healed. But afterwards my ankles still hurt and they are giving me more problems than before. So when i tried to transfer my records to another doctor it took two months to do so because the tried to tell me that MY records were theirs then they said they couldn't find them, but when the eventually transferred them BOY DID I FIND SOME THINGS OUT! My new doctor informed me that in most cases patients have to eventually remove the implants that i had put in my feet. He said he NEVER recommends my surgery because the implants cause more trouble than they are worth. So Not only did weikert NOT TELL ME about the complications and that they'd eventually need removed but SHE WENT ON LIKE THIS SURGERY WAS PAINLESS AND ALWAYS A SUCCESS! Lastly I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS OFFICE! PLEASE FIND ANOTHER!!!!
