Dr. Armstrong is very empathatic and professional, and has greatly reduced my neuropathic pain. Rather than complain about wait times from 1 to 2 hours, I read a book or listen to music. Note: The Surrey office will close at the end of August 2008.

NEVER ON TIME! He starts appts @ 9 but doesn't care to come in until 12. That tells you how he much he care about his patients. He is in his 70's. He penalizes you if you dare question him or try to help yourself & won't give you your meds or more say a day to day of them which is absurd if not criminal and against the college of physicians in BC. You see that way he gets paid everyday by pharmacare and you pay a dispensing fee every day! He's all about the money because even when you first meet him he will tell you he will see you in 4 visits because pharmacare pays him so little for a office visit, that he insists on 4 visits to get to know you and to get his rightful money from the 'system', before he will prescribe to you. He has an in office workout program that he tells you is 16 weeks but he will try to make you stay years in . He insists in seeing you, so he gets his 'visit' & workout fees from pharmacare & you and you can't claim on extended health ..... JUST ... B E W A R E !

Well rounded Pain Managment Specialist, he see's pain patients at his Surrey office on Tues & Thurs's mainly. He also does an addiction methadone program on Wednesdays. He is off Monday & Friday at Surrey. He often doesn't get into the office on time and you will end up waiting up to 2 & 3 hours just to get into your appointment. He also runs a recovery type physio program in his office but be warned it's not accreditated so you cannot claim it on extended medical, and if you go to that program twice a week for a year the fee's add up to around $1400.00. Just be aware of the issues ahead of time and there will be no surprises and you should have smooth sailings.

You never get in to see the doctor on time. You usually have to wait 2-3hours after your scheduled appointment to see him. They double and triple book appointments! And when you see him he asks a few questions and then he either ups your meds or ends the appointment. I found no help for my pain from him. I will not be going back to him.
