I am not sure whether this Dr. has a degree in Cosmology or Dermatology. After waiting for over 40 minutes she came into the exam room and said she was sorry but she didn't deal with cysts??? Botox only!!

I was aware of her reputation for being somewhat abrasive but I figured if she was technically sound it would be ok, because I wanted a good technician. When she spent nearly half of my exam time complaining about her own staff... then decided to dig a scab from my skin with her bare fingernail... never again.

We have been going to Dr. Thomas for over twenty years, every since my husband came to Athens as a new UGA professor. We are more than pleased with the care she has given to us over the years and plan to use her for many more years to come!! S.M.

Dr. Thomas is a very capable doctor and I trust her completely. Some of the reviews I see here seem to be more personal or maybe angry which does not reflect on the professional capabilities of this doctor. Perhaps it would be best to think before making negative remarks. Blessings to all. J.R.

This doctor is the worst doctor that I have ever been to. Not only is she unreasonably condescending, she refuses to listen to what you have to say. I told her about my skin history (including what medications other dermatologists have given me) and she jumped to the conclusion that I wanted to be over-treated with medications. She proceeded to tell me that if I go around telling doctors about my history and my worries that the doctors are going to treat my psychology instead. I have these itchy papules on my face for a several months (and I told her this before she prescribed me some medication). I accepted the prescription and diagnosis (which was ezcema), I asked her if the bumps will ever go away. She then told me in a very condescending tone, "WHEN DID I SAY THEY WILL NEVER GO AWAY? There you go assuming things again. Ok, you know what? Tell me why you think they will never go away." I repeated what I said earlier about my bumps being there for several months. She seemed surprised

I question Dr. Thomas because for chronic conditions she NEVER gives refills, a way to bilk insurance companies and medicare. I frankly think that she sometimes works for the drug companies!

her personality is brusque but she does know what she is doing. she is a good doctor, just needs a little work on bedside manner. men would probably like her better because she is short and to the point - no fluff. efficiency is her good point in reference to her manner.
