I strongly recommend AGAINST entrusting your care and your life with Dr. David A. Russell. On two visits, six months apart, Dr. Russell failed to properly identify linear calcifications in my breast which are highly correlated with cancer. Approximately one year later I found a lump myself and was diagnosed with Stage II, invasive, aggressive breast cancer. I was 46 years old at the time. I often wonder what difference a year would have made in my treatment and life expectancy, especially given the aggressiveness of the cancer. Upon consulting with my surgeon and the new Director of Radiology at The Polyclinic (where Dr. Russell was employed at the time), I was told by both that they would have done an immediate biopsy based on the first mammogram. Even I with an untrained eye can clearly see the linear pattern of calcifications. Based on this misdiagnosis, I again urge you not to entrust your care and your life to Dr. David A. Russell.
