I worked for Dr stevens for a few months a couple yrs back. She is the Worst employer i ever had to work for. Always thinks she is correct , always has something to say on any topic. I over heard her telling the Big girl who works in the front that she is tired of speeking to people who dont understand english. She wants all employees to fear hear . no speeking unless spoken to. I told her i had to move thats why i left. Jenifer and her are Good long time friends they are the only right ones in the world.

Agree with the previous comments - wait time is too long, likes to babble about how great she is (as quire a few docs do), ordered unnecessary and time-consuming tests (EKG when I went in with a bronchitis). Seems fairly knowledgeable, but negatives outweigh the positives.

She is a reasonably capable doctor. However waiting times were upto 2 hours for each appointment. I started fearing my visits to the practice. Too many tests and disputes with insurers that are still ongoing. Many arguments, delaying tactics and difficulties about transferring my medical records to my next doctor. The records have still not been transferred. Disillusioning.

Kept me waiting over an hour (and this was for a 9 a.m. appointment). Then proceeded to go on and on about herself mostly! While I was waiting, at least 4 people came in complaining that their insurance companies weren't going to reimburse them for charges. She was extremely patronizing to them and told them to just keep resubmitting. Her staff were completely incompetent - the assistant who took my vitals didn't have enough English to explain the basics to me. I had the impression that they all lived in fear of her. Never again!

Had to wait hours at each appointment. Many unnecessary tests performed, and charged to insurance. Good medical knowledge, but she appears to be interested in charging insurance for needless services or services not performed. She is still billing my previous insurance provider for services supposedly performed in 2001!

I went to her years ago, after being referred by a co-worker. I am prone to bladder infections and went to see her after I got one. She was running behind so I had to wait a while. I urinated in a cup at her office, and she said that they would call me back with the results. I was in a lot of pain and left with no medication. Her office called me back and insisted that I make another appointment to find out the results! She came across as a greedy doctor only interested in billing insurance companies. I got medication from a friend and never went back to see her.

Great doctor. However too many tests done and a bill from her for $4000... that I will not pay until the insurance company straightens things out with her... Overall great bedside manners but too many charges...

EXCELLENT DOCTOR! Have seen her for 15 years...she always refers to specialists to be on the safe side. Seems like overkill but saved my life when she referred me to a specialist when I got a bladder infection. Turned out I had a kidney stone stuck and my kidney was infected! Made the mistake of seeing another Dr. when my insurance would no longer accept Dr. Stevens. I was misdiagnosed and NOT sent to a specialist and had a very serious illness. I went right back to her and insurance got straightened out. Not just a great Dr. but very caring about her patients. She used to overbook and spend too much time with patients (most Drs only spend 5 min!) so would wait for sometimes 2 hours. Now she is always on time. Highly recommend her if you want good care.

I went to Dr. Stevens for a regular physical. Before I could see the doctor, her staff hooked me up with all the machines saying those were normal procedures for a physical. Afterwards, I found out it was a EKG. She then charged my insurance company everything from the syringe her staff drew my blood with to the EKG, totalling $3000. She was trying to scam money out of my insurance!!! Luckily, when my insurance refused to pay, she agreed to waive the fee. She also made me wait for close to an hour in the room. When she arrived, she told me condescendingly that I would understand that not everything was on time when I grew up. Well, although I am only 26, I don't my time is less valuable than hers. She just doesn't know how to respect patient's time. I had to take time off from work to do this, too. This time costed me money! She is a patronizing doctor who tries to scam money out of insurance. Be aware!
