Dr. Rudolph Bedford is the best. My wife was in the hospital in Thousand oak for weeks taking all difference, tests. They could not come up with a reason for her illness. He,put her in St. John's where' they found' C.D.

While he is an incredible doctor (e.g. demeanor and the ability to keep you calm, etc), he is by far the worst doctor I have met with regards to his punctuality. Also, I believe, he is too busy and has a bit too much going on at a time. He gave me one dx where he scoped me and then another very different one when he had me waiting in his office for an hour. He did not look at any blood work, etc. It is as if I had two different doctors...while he is brilliant at doing endoscopies and has a very calming demeanor, he is a terrible doctor.

I cannot say enough positive things about Dr. Bedford. He is so calm, reassuring and compassionate. He explains procedures in detail, takes plenty of time for questions. I never felt hurried. I was very nervous before surgery. He was there with my husband and me to answer any last questions and make sure I was comfortable (at UCLA - so more nervous with a new hospital). After surgery he came back to discuss the outcome and give us great news. A couple of weeks later I received the lab results confirming his diagnosis with a personal note. Every step of the way Dr Bedford was the consummate professional. I already knew of his stater in the profession and his teaching experience. He is every bit as good as the other reviews and more. I would recommend him as the best GI doctor in LA.

I waited 2 hours without any one telling me what was going on. I went to move my car to avoid a ticket, and the dr skipped me despite his staff telling me he wouldnt. One of the worst office visit experiences ever. I was overlooked by his office as I have been at other GI doctors just because of my apparent health and youth

I've been seeing many doctors in the past 10 years. Dr Bedford is the BEST I have ever meet. Unlike all the other doctors I have been seen, he is caring, gentle and treats me as an individual and NOT like a "name on the list"He is rushing to finish with me and go to the next patient like many other doctors. Dr Bedford,Thank you for treating like a human!

The worse GI doctor ever, he is so busy that he can't do his job correctly, jumps from procedure room to other procedure room just to make couple of thousand dollars more without paying attention to the patient condition, health and stability, never follow up after the procedure, highly not recommended, I am surprised that he is still practicing, hopefully soon he would loss his license.

Dr Bedford did an endoscopy, biopsy, and blood work and has never given me the results and it's been FIVE weeks! I have left him two messages a week for a month saying I was in terrible pain with no return call! I had to go to the ER and still no return call from him! After 5 weeks I went to get my records so I could go somewhere else and they wanted to charge me for them. I have still not heard back from him. Avoid this doctor!

Dr. Bedford took over for my old gastro when mine left their joint practice, and honestly, I was happy for the switch. An easygoing bedside manner, coupled with the fact that he is an active professor and extremely knowledgeable in his field, left me comfortable with his diagnosis and the treatment plan prescribed. I'm uncertain as to why he received a bad review on this site - sounds like that person saw a completely different doctor! He is helpful, prompt, friendly and EXTREMELY KNOWLEDGEABLE and makes certain that you are comfortable with the information he is giving you as well as with the treatment process. One of my favorite doctors of all time.

My experience with Dr. Bedford was not good. I was in the hospital after abdominal surgery and he was called in for a consult. He showed up three days later after many calls. He was curt and dismissive. He could not diagnose and ran a lot of unecessary tests. He scared the hell out of me...with his wrong guessing. I went to another gastroenterologist after I left the hospital. and was diagnosed after only two specific tests on one day. I would NOT recommend Dr. Bedford at all. I think he needs to brush up on his knowledge!

Dr.Bedford is the most wonderful doctor anyone could possibly ask for. There is no other doctor that can equal him in every respect. He is one of a kind and makes one feel as though one is his special patient. I feel as though i am in the care of an angel when i have had procedures and office visits by Dr.Bedford.God bless him for his help and comforting manner.
