Dr. Garra is a wonderful doctor! I pray that he does not retire any time soon. He is kind, caring, knowledgeable, and a gentle man. I could not ask for a better doctor. His assistant is the also the best! Yes, some of the office staff is questionable, but a small price to pay for seeing one of the top doctors that I have ever met. I am a DES Daughter (for those of you that are familiar with this) and he is one of the very few doctors in the area that treats me with this always in mind. He goes above & beyond and even asks about any other issues that I may have. I consider my self very lucky to have found him after losing my OB/GYN afer 20 years. That is who actually recommended him. I would not even see anyone else, unless it was an emergency and he was not available. He is the best and I could not ask for more!

I would travel via plane if I had to, for my annual check-up with Dr Garra. Over the 30 years I have been his patient, he has consistently give me excellent care with compassion, knowledge and interest.

I have been with this group for over 30 years and I could not disagree more with other postings. Dr. Garra saved my sister's life 3 times pushing her to act on suspected cancers which were not in his area of practice. He also literally saved my son's life at birth because of his knowledge, and quick actions when most other babies die due to the complication that occurred. Don't let his quiet demeanor fool you. He is wise and knowledgable. Warm and fuzzy??? No. He is your doctor, not your best friend.I trusted him and Dr. Malcarney through 3 high risk pregnancies and through many "female" problems. He gets my #1 vote. And this comes from over 30 years of experience and the fine care that came along with it. As far as his staff goes, well, that varies. But those that have been there a long time are as nice as could be.

Some key details were missed by the staff. I would like it if my patient file had been read by the doctor before the physical exam, not after. Later, the person who read my results on the phone for the ultrasound and the (unneccessary) trans-vaginal ultrasound I had to have done elsewhere didn't instill the greatest confidence in me. I was also refused help when I next contacted this office.

To start the girls in the office act like you are bothering them when you make an appt and then when you show up. Dr. Garra, Got voted top doc? I couldn't believe it. He is extremely old and nondescript. He had no real ideas for my problems and seemed bothered by me. He rushed to put me on hormone replacement ect. Him, his partners and the office in general is beyond RUDE.I figured the girls behind the desk must be married to one of the drs because no one in the real world would still have their job if they acted them. On 4 occassions I had emergencies and had to beg the nurse to leave a message for Dr.Garra, she wanted all my info and she WASN'T a NURSE just a secretary. Poor excuse for office staff, poor excuse for Doctor. Save yourself the aggravation and do no see this doctor.
