This morbidly obese doctor is totally lacking in professionalism and knowledge. My daughter "inherited" him when her physician left. As she developed more and more health problems, the care he provided could not even be classified as mediocre. He constantly made feeble attempts at humor to try and hide his lack of knowledge. During one visit, he had the nerve to call her fat! At her last visit, he provoked an argument with her after she challenged his knowledge of generic medicines. He misdiagnosed her which delayed her getting the treatment that she needed. He is just a sorry excuse for a doctor. For those of you who continue to use him, you are placing your life in the hands of a quack.

This man is a quack! He uses bad jokes to cover for bad medicine. He belittled me for being heavy, and instead of helping me with it he thought it'd be more fun to insult me. He even told me about his school days and how it was super funny to talk about "fat flatulant females over forty."
Well, news flash, I'm not over forty and I'm try to lose weight but my spine is BROKEN! And on that topic! He accused me of faking my broken spine and back pain! He said one of his staff watched me pick up my wheelchair and throw it into the trunk of our car.
So if one of his staff was watching myself and my crippled mother, what they probably saw was mom straining to lift the chair and me trying to help lift by leaning over the edge of the trunk... Why didn't that staff member offer to help!?! What is wrong with these people?

I have also been plagued by a skin rash for almost a year. This man misdiagnosed it as a burst varicose vein originally because, hey, it's a side effect of being fat! Then he misdiagnosed it as cellulitis. After finally doing some blood work and a really crappy biopsy it was agreed I should go to a dermatologist. So at this point I had had this rash for about seven months, and he neglects to put urgent on my referral to the specialist. He also sent none of my biopsy reports or blood work ahead of me, so the dermatologist could do very little.
Almost another month later because of this comedy of errors, I get another biopsy.
Dr. James got mad at me because a second biopsy was needed...yes, seriously.
Around this same time all my prescriptions were sent to a different pharmacy. This caused my antidepressant to become generic and unfortunately it stopped working. I called and asked his staff if they could resend the prescription as name brand only. Dr. James said no, and he insisted that I come in for a "mental health consult". I begged them, saying I'm really grumpy and hurty when I'm not on my meds and the nurse insisted it would be okay and it was just for insurance purposes.
Dr. James started a fight almost the moment he walked in. He told me the generic was the same and that I hadn't ever had the real medicine before because he had never written the script for it. Even though he knew I couldn't stand well because I hadn't had my pain shot yet he griped at me for not getting on the scale. (That's also when he accused me of being able to stand, walk and lift my wheelchair just fine.)
Then, even though we were in the office, he discharged me without warning me it was going to happen. He also did it on a lie, saying that I was non compliant and was constantly butting heads with him. None of that is true, but now that's on my chart and I have to get it fixed in order to get a new decent Doctor....

He is horrible! Very rude and disrespectful! My son was in a lot of pain and he didn't care. He walked in the room and ripped my son's hat off his head. There was no excuse for this overweight and disgusting man's attitude and lack of professionalism. I know I am not the only patient to complain to administration about him. He was also disrespectful to his nurse. I would never, ever recommend him to anyone.
