Well...I third the "factory" comments from above. Each time I went in for an appointment I felt like Dr. Lathi knew less about me and didn't know what to do with my case... Granted, I'm a difficult diagnosis but still... I wasn't given the option to look at my own ultrasounds which was disheartening. She *does* have a cheerful disposition and positive attitude which is nice. I think you have to do your research and choose an RE who knows your particular condition. Her area is PCOS/recurrent loss which I don't have, hence not too helpful to me.

I thought exactly the same thing of previous reviewer said :You feel like you're simply being churned through a factory. If you are looking for a collaborative effort towards fertility, this is not the practice site, nor MD for you. If you want to be told what to do, and you don't want to know any information about your body, then she may suit you . I never recommend her to my friends!!

I did one IVF and 2 FET's with Dr. Lathi. None were successful, although I don't blame her for that. After the IVF, I got pregnant, but found out during the 8 week visit with her that I had a m/c. I started crying; she practically ran out of the room. After the 2nd FET, which ended in a m/c and left me with no remaining embryos, I never heard from her again - not even a message from her office about how I wanted to proceed. I know she has helped many women get pregnant, but she really needs to work on her manner with patients.

so busy that she doesn't take the time to know your body. One word... TENACULUM....actually, 5 more words to sum up my experience with her: LOTS of BLOOD and PAIN. Almost makes you think having a child is not worth it... And she was so unsuccessful that we were on the verge of doing IVF when we switched to a different fertility clinic and got pregnant right away. Again.. I highly doubt the tenaculum helps with her success rate. Anyways, childbirth and labor was less painful than lying on her examining table and getting a tenaculum inserted....

Stanford REI is much more EXPENSIVE than some other practice sites in Northern Cali. I only have 2 words: poor technique. Perhaps in about 10 years, she will improve her ability to do procedures. Until then, I suggest going elsewhere, where the MD is more experienced.

She has way too many patients for her practice (i.e. she is forgetful, and is not on top of your care). You feel like you're simply being churned through a factory. If you are looking for a collaborative effort towards fertility, this is not the practice site, nor MD for you. If you want to be told what to do, and you don't want to know any information about your body, then she may suit you. But don't ask too many questions. On your very first visit, you may be seen by a resident instead of her. You have no options of refusing to be seen by residents. I figure part of her workload is so much, that she uses residents to help offset her workload. Don't expect meds to be ordered in time, and expect the level of care to be rather haphazard and disorganized.
