Dr. Abdo is a kind soul. I would trust him with my family. He has many years of exceptional service and cares deeply for his patients. Tonight he help ease my suffering on a holiday weekend. I am beyond grateful to work with him at Banner Baywood surgery department. Tonight he saved a life. Then went the extra mile to help me. If your looking for a top notch surgeon consider him he provides services in Mesa and globe.

I stayed an extra day in the hospital because nobody could get a hold of Dr. Abdo for the last 2 days of my visit. Apparently it's OK to charge me for a hospital visit for 2 days because he sent his Assistant to see me, and the 30 second visit was hardly worth hundreds of dollars. What a great strategy to get around the system Dr. Abdo, you should be proud!

I don't know if Dr Joseph Abdo is a good surgeon, but I can tell you he didn't treat me right. I would not recommend him to anyone.

Dr. Abdo has done surgery on all of my family members and pulled one of them thru some pretty rocky times. He is an excellent surgeon and very caring. I cannot say enough about him and his expertise. If ever in a hard spot and needed my life saved I would certainly call on him and no one else.

Dr Joe has been doing a colonoscopy on me every year since August of 2001. He's removed dozens of polyps and there have been no complications. I'm an avid Abdo supporter and also one of CVRMCs past Foundation Board members. Joe Abdo knows his business. He's also over-worked. This causes him to run late quite often. On a scale of 1-10 he gets a 4 from me, although he was in the OR right on the button last time. But I left after waiting 30 minutes outside his locked office for the follow-up. He's a great guy and I'd like to call him a good friend because we have shared some pretty personal stuff. I just wish he would take better advantage of his time - he's gonna work himself to death if he doesn't!

Dr. Abdo has been my surgical doctor for approximately 6 years, performing several colonoscopies; and just recently treating a case of phlebitis in my elbow. While treating it during its earlier stages, he noticed that I had a mild issue of skin cancer, and removed it immediately. He preformed surgery on my elbow two days ago, and did his usual fabulous job. I have had a few other surgeries in the past; but Dr. Abdo is certainly the BEST. As long as he is available, I won't have anyone else do my surgeries.

I was diagnosed with diverticulitis and a fistula had formed between my sigmoid colon and the urachal remnants under my belly button. Dr. Abdo was assigned as my surgeon as I was told that I needed to have the infection removed surgically (too late to treat with drugs). Dr. Abdo was supportive and always calming during his visits in my 10 day stay in the hospital. He came and visited me every day before and after the surgery. He was able to perform the entire surgery laparoscopically even though I did have a colon resection. Usually a surgery of this magnitude would require a very long incision down the abdomen. However, he was able to work a small miracle and I came out of the surgery with 6 laparoscopic sites and a small 6 inch incision along the belt line where he had to remove the infected colon. I have no doubts that Dr. Abdo could have taken the easier route and just cut me open to make the surgery easier. He saved my life and to this day I still think about all he did for me.

He made me wait until the mext morning to have an appendectomy. was an hour late, and then didnt see me again for over 36 hours. Never talked to me after surgery!! I was very dissappointed and just wanted to know what was going on. and then he told me i had no reason to be upset.

Dr. Abdo...Again you have given us more time with our mom...Gilda. You are always exceeding your duties without complaint. You deserve recognition and am looking to do what I can.
