Dr. Ackerman repaired my left sholder after a failed operation . My question is does he also work on hips? I have issues with great discomfort my right hip that travels up to my lower back. Dr. Pepplman installed some hardware in my lower back years ago. that area seems to be OK. I've had a few injections in that area for the most part the injections help but shortly after the problems return.

Dr. Ackerman did an excellent job performing my shoulder surgery Nov. 2019. His pre-surgery and post-surgery care and direction was excellent; great communication throughout the process. I would recommend Dr. Ackerman and his team to anyone in need of an ortho surgeon.

There is no finer Surgeon than Dr. Ackerman. He performed both Shoulder and Knee Surgery and I have had a positive outcome with all. I could not recommend more highly to anyone that is n need of an Orthopedic Doctor/Surgeon.

He is paid by insurance companies to perform an IME also known as an "Independent" Medical Exam. That means that HE WILL FIND YOU COMPLETELY RECOVERED AND READY TO RETURN TO WORK EVEN IF YOU ARE STILL INJURED ACCORDING TO YOUR REGULAR DOCTOR. These are the worst kinds of doctors. Stay far away if you can.

Dr Ackerman was fine and knowledgeable. However, I cannot recommend Arlington. The front office staff at the Harrisburg office were not the kindest and were rather unprofessional including discussing patients in front of me (can you say privacy violation?). Our wait was incredible, almost an hour in the waiting room. That is just unacceptable. Dr Ackerman is a good MD, too bad he doesn't work for a better medical group.

Dr. Ackerman performed my surgery and did an excellent job. He has a good reputation in the local community and is very patient and thorough. He has some older nurses/assistants who are not friendly and rather curt, which is a shame because it really casts an unpleasant light on an otherwise great practice. I would shy away from giving Arlington a recommendation because of the poor treatment by the staff...mostly the senior grouchy one.

DR. ACKERMAN,FIXED MY L-SHOULDER 5-6 YEARS AGO AND IT'S DOING GREAT. THIS WAS AFTER THREE TRIES FROM ANOTHER DR. I WILL NOT GO INTO WHAT I WENT THROUGH BEFORE DR. ACHERMAN HELPED ME. ALSO HE TOOK THE TIME TO SHOW ME THE BEFORE & AFTER FILMS / PIC'S SO I COULD SEE WHAT HE HAD DO TO MAKE IT RIGHT!

Outstanding Shoulder and Knee Surgeon. Waiting time is within acceptable limits. Very caring about patients, suggests alternative treatment before reccommending surgery. Personal post surgical follow up regarding pain mangement or any other concerns. I would reccommend this fine surgeon to anywhone in need of orthopedic care.
