Dr. Johns is a wonderful doctor... I found him when i was pregnant with my daughter, 18 years ago. Though he no longer does Obstetrics, his knowledge and caring for the women he treats has always been top notch! I struggled for years with Endometriosis and he was very patient with all my decisions and indecisions on how I hoped to treat it. He performed several laporoscopic procedures to help ease the pain and symptoms. He recommended hysterectomy in 2008, and I was very hesitant...So i struggled for several more years with pain and hormonal fluctuations and terrible menstrual cycles. Once i made the decision to have a partial hysterectomy in 2012, the procedure went beautifully, and I am very happy to report that I am feeling amazingly well in all my womanly areas :) I would recommend Dr. Johns to any woman seeking a Doctor with good intuition and a very caring heart for his patients..

Dislikes patients getting outside opinions. Office manager wife is Pushy about scheduling. Saw him once for chronic pelvic pain.Had a pelvic MRI report for the appointment. After exam and sonogram recommended total hysterectomy scheduled that day for end of the month. My GYN was on vacation at the time. I'm recently diagnosed with IC.Wanted to think about it and talk to my GYN. Got another opinion from a Richmond GYN. Didn't think I needed surgery. Cancelled the hysterectomy with ample notice. Saw my GYN after developing an infection. We discussed my pain, agreed we'd do an exploratory laparoscopic procedure/cystoscopy with hysterectomy if necessary. She is a warm caring doctor who has the patients best interests at heart. She knows I don't care for MWH. Said go where you feel comfortable. Prefer Spotsy regional hospital so I called Dr. Johns office. He said he wouldn't treat me because I had other opinions.Cited his 30 yrs.experience.RUDE.Hung up on me.Unbelievable.I'll stick with my DR.

Dr. Johns is very knowledgable, but his office staff leave a bit to be desired as others have posted.

Dr. Johns is amazing. He is thorough kind, gentle, and interested. He is interested in making sure that I understood everything I needed to understand as well as everything I wanted to know before he went any further with my surgery. He was coutious, but the healing time was very tolerable. I totally recommed Dr. Johns for any female problem. I cannot imagine him know knowing anything regarding women's health, but if there is something, then I have total confidence that he will learn it and get the job done or pass you one to someone just as reputable. He maintains a professional behavior as well as the rest of his office staff. They are just as thorough and knowledgable as he is.

This guy is great, I help my wife out with her medical decisions with her permission and he isn't sexist at all. He listens to both of us. He doesn't ignore problems that you bring up. His staff seems a bit mechanized at times and greedy. I never get this impression when we finally see Dr. Johns himself. He always finds a workaround when things are tight.

After many years of seeing different GYN doctors for chronic pelvic pain, I found Dr. Montgomery N. Johns. I had a partial Laparoscopic Hysterectomy 8 years ago. The Laparoscopic Hysterectomy immediately solved my chronic pelvic pain. Six months ago, I started experiencing chronic pelvic pain again and I was having problems with my bladder. After discussing my options, I decided on another partial Laparoscopic Hysterectomy and the TVT sling. This surgery was a success, as well. The TVT sling took care of my bladder problems. After Dr. Johns performs the exam, you get dressed then he meets with you in his office to discuss his finding and options. You are cheerfully greeted upon entering the office. The staff is very professional. Dr. Johns has excellent bedside manners, listens to all concerns, and I have never felt rushed. Dr. Johns keeps up with the latest GYN practices. I highly recommend Dr. Montgomery N. Johns for his professionalism, knowledge and excellent staff!

Dr.Johns basically gave me my life back. I came to him in a tremendous amount of pain with 3 week periods and loosing a lot of blood. I ended up with my uterus taken over by fibroids. I had to get a blood transfusion for my hysterectomie. It's been 5 weeks and I feel wonderful! Dr.Johns told me "my situation was DEFINITELY not normal ". Thank-you Dr. Johns for giving me my life back! Sincerely, Kristine Ball.

Dr. Johns was by far the best md I've ever been too. I had terrible pelvic pain as well as what I was told by another obgyn "blocked Fallopian tubes" dr johns performed a laparoscopy on me to find out I had endometriosis and my Fallopian tubes infact were not blocked. All within 2 weeks, I had my first appt, surgery and my follow up appt. now I no longer have pain and I am told I will be able to have children (which the last obgyn I went to told me I could only have children of I did invitro)
