Irreplaceable. One of a kind. My wife and I have been seeing Dr Hilmer for 10 years. He is the best in his field. He has retired now and we are finding it very difficult to find any one close to his league.

I became ill while visiting Australia recently. I have Crohn's disease and thought this was the problem. I was taken to hospital and Dr Hilmer was able to sort out my problem. He got in touch with my doctor in Boston and was very careful and caring. His staff were also excellent and assisted with my paperwork. I recommend him unreservedly.

I have just been through a life-threatening experience. I started vomiting blood at home just before Xmas. My wife took me to the Blacktown Hospital and I was seen by Dr Hilmer. He very quickly assessed the seriousness of my situation and arranged an endoscopy which meant he could stop the bleeding. I spent a week in the hospital and Dr Hilmer saw me very day; he explained my progress as we went along and I have seen him once in his surgery for a final review. I cannot thank him enough for his professional care.

Dr Hilmer has treated me for years, as I have coeliac disease. I've always found him to be very helpful, knowledgeable and approachable. I never feel 'rushed through'. I highly recommend him.

I visited Dr Hilmer earlier this year and found him to be very professional. He called me on the weekend to let me know my results as soon as he had received them and took a long time to explain them. I really appreciated not having to wait the whole weekend worrying. Thank you Dr Hilmer

A very poor communicator. Been in the job too long. Needs to retire. Reminds me of some of my school teachers in the 1960's who hated kids.

Gosh - this must be a different Dr Ralph Hilmer! The one I know at Mt Druitt is very helpful and all my family have seen him for many years.
