I went to this Dr in 2012 to 2014, heart breaks upon heart breaks because he didn't even know what he was doing and same with Dr Frank. Is there a lawsuit in process at this time 20 Feb 2022 that I can add my name to. Thanks

I went to Dr. Martin & Dr. Franks for a couple years, 2010-2012, tried "experimental" treatments & compound pills, fertility drugs, and nothing but heartaches & problems. Never ever had a problem with my weight or harshness of voice, and chin hair. Apparently one of the drugs I was prescribed, "Deha" is not by any means a safe drug. Found out by another top Fertility Doctor in London, both myself & husband have fertility issues not just me! No wonder either doctor is not allowed to practice. If I knew there was lawsuits against each I would have gladly added my name to them.

DO YOUR RESEARCH!!!! Google his name!! He is NOT to be doing any reproductive medicine as he lost his licence!! I am lucky to be alive from my hospital in our small town because of his negligence. PLEASE GO TO ANOTHER CLINIC!!!

Have been his patient for years for HRT. He knows what he is doing, is very progressive and has helped me tremendously with menopausal and now post menopausal symptoms, Bloodwork done on site. I don’t know what I would have done without him, Staff has been awesome!

I have been seeing Dr.Martin for approximately 1 year. He has taken care of my HRT since day one. I would suggest anyone planning to take HRT to their homework first. I have been extremely pleased with my results. I have had no negative side effects. He monitors my blood work and not just the hormone related blood work but other tests as well. Note to anyone taking HRT is that one must know it is not an exact science and everyone reacts differently to the HRT. My response to HRT has been excellent and my body was very accepting of the changes. You will find Dr. Martin is caring and has the best " bed side " manners of any specialist I have ever seen.

CAUTION: Before visiting Dr. Martin or Dr. Frank please google their history. They have both been under investigation for misconduct and aren’t even supposed to practice in their own clinic. Dr. Martin saw me after having an IUI, I was in for follow up at week 8 since I was a high risk pregnancy. He told me he wasn’t sure what would happen with my pregnancy but to go home and come back in a week. I returned one week later to be told I had miscarried and that Dr. Martin could have told me the week earlier but he wasn’t great with charts, etc. REALLY! So he couldn’t tell if my pregnancy was viable...then why is he practicing!! Won’t be returning and wish I had read up on their history prior to visiting the clinic.

Since Dr Martin's practice is one of the most accessible for trans people in the region, I feel like standards are pretty low. Nobody there is outwardly transphobic and I've been treated with respect, which shouldn't be a reason to give him or the SOFT clinic five stars - it should be expected!

That being said, the staff is, for the most part, on the kind side of average. The clinic itself is nicely decorated and always seemed clean and comfortable. Dr Martin was good to me about trans stuff, and didn't give me a hard time, but I feel like he should have spent more time explaining what certain medications do. I feel like I have to specifically ask detailed questions in order to get answers, and patients without the healthcare background I have might not even know to ask those questions.

I went to the SOFT clinic for trans related care - I was impressed because there was no waitlist (unlike everywhere else), Dr. Martin seemed very knowledgeable and had been serving trans clients for some time. The staff were exceptionally nice and it all seemed too good to be true. Unfortunately, ran into issues when one of my two medications prescribed by Dr. Martin was flagged by another medical professional - these medications would have made me completely sterile within 8 months and Dr. Martin nor anyone else at SOFT had cared to mention this. When I told them I had stopped taking the medication, they insisted I continue (despite horrible side effects, very high cost and the very real risk of sterilization). I refused, and eventually told them that I would be moving clinics because there was a trans health clinic opening much closer to my home. They insisted that I stay, which I told them that it made no sense for me and that I would indeed be switching care providers. At my new clinic we put in a request to get the blood work results I had done at the SOFT clinic, which they refused to release. After 8 months of my clinic calling on my behalf, personally calling AND going into the office to request these results, they still refused to release them. I had subsequent blood work done by another clinic and found my hormones levels to be dangerously high (even for someone undergoing HRT). SOFT had administered an incredibly high dose without previously taking any blood work and had failed to monitor appropriately OR release my results to clinicians who would have. This, in addition to prescribing these sterilizing medications without proper consent and information given made me leave SOFT quickly and without hesitation. Unfortunately, I have spoken with many others who had similarly traumatizing experiences.

Incredibly disappointed and unsettled at the prospect of other trans clients seeking care here. I would advise everyone who has or is currently receiving care at this clinic to research their prescriptions thoroughly and take an active role in their own care (and maybe even change clinics).
