hangs up phone or busy signal often. unable to get sick children in same day ever. big staff turnover does not provide test results without constant calling. no one answers phone on lunch.refers to ER or urgent care often. cancels physical appts made a year in advance then cant get you in for months.

Michele comes into the room, shakes your hand and looks you in the eye and asks what your concerns are. She has been my Dr for several years and has been very patient with me, even when I did not want to make the obvious health choices that were clearly best for me. She never pressured or gave up. Her staff is efficient, organized and compassionate. She always makes sure I leave with whatever scripts or information I need. I would highly recommend her to anyone as she is a VERY GOOD Doctor.

Yes Dr. P is very busy but that is because so many people trust and respect her. She is a great Dr. & person. Very easy to talk to, cares about you and is quick to refer you to a specialist when she feels you could get more care for a specific problem. My entire family goes to her and a lot of my friends do too. Everyone in her office is nice. One PA I am not happy with and would not see again but I just tell them when I call and it is never a problem. Am fortunate to have a Dr. I like and trust so much!

I recommend Dr. Potempa's office to people all the time. I followed Dr. Halliday here from Highgate -- and yes, I miss Dr. H but Dr. Potempa is great too. I like the staff; sure, I like some of the nurses more than others, but in general service is good. I see NPs all the time, with only one I didn't like (a fellow I think isn't with the practice anymore). The others are all great. And I've seen Dr. P lots of times too, without waiting or feeling rushed. Just recently she helped me through a problem with my pre-op checkup (getting my gall bladder out) and was much more thorough than the hospital had been. I plan on being a patient at Greater Niagara Medical for a long time, I've been overall happy with the service there.

My mother has been a patient here for approximately 2 years and has seen both of the nurse pracitioners as well as Dr. Potempa.I have been very impressed with the care for my mom.I have been in the nursing profession for over 30 years and can honestly say that the entire office has been professional, timely, knowledgable and caring.I have been very involved with my mother's medical needs which unfortunately have been alot in the past 6 months.I have spoken to each of the nurse practioners and the Dr. on several ocassions on the phone and after hours when my mother had specific needs and have never felt anything other than genuine concern from each of them.We have never been rushed either in the office or on the phone.I am so glad that my mother is going to such a competent physician and nurse practioners.My only complaint is that they aren't taking new patients because my husband and I, as well as our kids had recently been looking for a new provider!Proud to use my name-Debbie Rettig

i've been with GREATER NIAGARA MEDICAL since it opened --dr potempa is my RIMARY and i have vo problem getting an appointment with her as long as i can wait a couple weeks because she is booked solid --however ive seen the nurse practioners & the other day the PA as dr mp was out for a family emergency --the PA and nurses where GREAT helping me greatly & on an emergency basis & let me just say the face of medicine has changed family doctors are so pressed that they have to in YOUR BEST INTEREST send you to specialists if its the best coarse of action ALSO i've NEVER had my scheduled appointment time INTERRUPTED because of a phone call ..i think she DELAGATES very well.and i have had her return a call for 2 emergency situations --she and her GROUP ARE GREAT--YOU WONT FIND BETTER

I have gone to Dr. Potempa's office for 6+ years. I prefer the nurse practioners and so do friends of mine. The ones I request have been there a long time and are familiar with my health issues, caring, helpful and knowledgeable. Even when I have called after hours, a nurse practioner has called me back. I've see the Doctor 1 or 2 times, she was nice, but rushed and I have had other appointments rescheduled inconveniently. But I was amazed, and almost left the office when I found (the hardway) that she did not see people in the hospital. I stayed and gave a good rating because I usually see the nurse practioners anyway.

I like dr I have been with her since highgate unfortunetly it is sad that I cannot see the dr. I was furious one day I took vacatin day so i could see dr potempa without letting me know they turn me over to NP I am thinking of looking for a new dr.

VERY HARD TO BE SCHEDULED WITH THE DOCTOR!! IF YOU GET LUCKY TO SEE HER, YOU MAY RECEIVE A CALL TO RESCHEDULE YOUR APPOINTMENT. NURSE PRACTIONERS ARE VERY NICE AND ARE EASY TO BE SCHEDULED WITH. ALTHOUGH, IT'S SCARY HOW MUCH TURN-OVER GOES ON AT DR.POTEMPA'S OFFICE. SOME VERY EFFICIENT, GOOD PEOPLE HAVE LEFT THE PRACTICE WITHOUT EXPLANATION. WHAT'S UP??? I USED TO FEEL LIKE A PERSON WHEN I WENT.....THEN I TURNED INTO A NUMBER. LEFT PRACTICE AND AM HAPPY WITH NEW MD.
