Dr. Borthwick delivered my first child in 2006 in Sikeston, MO. She was extremely thorough and very caring. I was heart-broken when she left the area and I had to choose another OB doc to deliver my second child. NO ONE OB/GYN that I've seen thus far has even compared to her level or care and expertise.

Really didn't seem to know what she was doing. When I asked, she said she hadn't been in practice for a couple of years.

I think she was a wonderful doctor!!! She was full of compassion, ulike her partner(Dr Caputo). She was a very soft spoken and caring person. I think the reason that she left was because her partner treated her like SH%##!! I wish we had more doctors with the compassion that she had.

I went to Borthwick's office for the first time for my 4th pregnancy. The doctor i was seeing in that office left suddenly and I got Borthwick for the remainder of my pregnancy. Although I had 3 previous healthy full term pregnancies before, she insisted on inducing me in my 39th week. The baby was breech the morning we showed up for the induction, and then I was pressured into a C-section, although there really was no call for it, and I wasn't even over due. Borthwick made me feel like if I left something could, and probably would go wrong, and it would be my fault for leaving the hospital, the exact example being that i might dilate and have the umbilical cord come down into the birth canal and suffocate the baby before we could make it back to the hospital. When i returned for my 6 week follow up she had 'stopped practicing medicine' according to the staff.

I went in to see Dr. Borthwick and she referred me to Dr. Caputo who was in the same office. I had to make a seperate appointment and pay another co pay!!! After seeing Dr. Caputo who was very helpful and knowledgeable I made another appointment to see Dr. Borthwick again and she was no longer practicing medicine according to the staff! I felt left out by myself. I spoke to the nurse and she reassured me that Dr Caputo will be glad to take over my care. What kind of doctor is Dr. Borthwick? Thankfully she had a more reliable back up in Dr. Caputo!
